March 19, 200816 yr comment_148345 NO1 grips. I like the soft and sticky feel. Nice color combinations too.
March 19, 200816 yr comment_148346 Lamkin Red Torsion Dual Density Interested in trying the Nowon but damn $20/grip plus shipping is alot if I end up liking em.
March 20, 200816 yr comment_148367 I think the best grips are the Leather Gripmaster Grips. Certainly the most expensive but the longest lasting by far. IMO I love the tacky feeling. However, most of my grips are Golf Pride Tour Velvet. My favorite "basic" grip. I don't wear a glove and when it gets hot it seems I'm still able to get a good grip with them. The chord Grip seems to get a bit slippery when it gets hot and the hands start sweating. What are you using Jack??
March 20, 200816 yr comment_148370 I like the old classic non-cord Tour Velvet. When it gets hot and humid here in the south I can get a more secure grip on the club with the non-cord. When the temps get into the upper 90's the cord grips will turn slightly in my hand at impact.
March 20, 200816 yr comment_148371 I always used golf pride tour velvet's. They provide stable grip and inexpensive indeed. I have used Iomic grips for a while. They are good but nothing superior over any other grips. I have tried the No1 grip for the first time last week and I really like their soft and tacky feeling. I would eventually get them in all of my clubs.
March 21, 200816 yr comment_148405 Golf Pride Tour Velvet. The No1. feels nice and tacky but a little too soft for my preference. Didn't like the Iomic either. Bat
March 22, 200816 yr comment_148442 I was formerly an Iomic user but last year switched to No.1 grips for their softenss and tackiness. I'm actually finding I like the really brand new Epon grips that are based on Golf Pride Tour Velvet style. They are tacky enough but not quite as thick as the No.1 (I even use 48 series) which allows me to turn over more quickly as I have smaller hands.
March 27, 200816 yr comment_148577 I use IOMIC sticky which I like the looks.. they feel good.. but are a pain to keep clean.. I also have NO1 Grip.. 50 series.. I find the left hand fits just right but the taper is too little.. I feel the area for my right hand is too thick.. I know I can get my clubmaker to stretch it but it's just so much easier to ask him to slip it on... Does anyone know how the IOMIC sticky compares to the NO1Grip 48 series in terms of sizing?? in terms of longevity and maintenance?? I can play any grip as long as they are fresh and tacky.. I have golf pride tour velvets, winn avs and lamkins on my other clubs.. Edited March 27, 200816 yr by chinkwan
March 28, 200816 yr comment_148578 I'm using the 48 series No.1. Very comparable in size to Iomic Sticky. Pretty durable if you get the right color (i mean dirty looking wise). I hear there is a new grip company on the horizon in Japan that will top both Iomic and Nowon....

It seems to me the sexy Japanese grips don't come in midsize. Gripmaster is an Aussie product. I have used these before and they are super good. Edited March 30, 200816 yr by Jack lives here

Inquiring minds want to know!
March 31, 200816 yr comment_148662 I hear there is a new grip company on the horizon in Japan that will top both Iomic and Nowon.... top in price? performance ? I like the grips, both the NO1s and the Iomics--which I use in my woods--, but the price of each are a bit upthere, so a new grip will be better than these 2? I hope not the price.
