N. S. Pro 750 GH Wrap Tech iron shafts

I picked up a used set of Fourteen TC-550 forged irons today and they have N.S. Pro 750 GH Wrap Tech iron shafts. I only had a chance to hit them a couple of times. I know the shafts are pretty light, but seem fairly stable. Anyone played these shafts in their irons and if so, what did you think of them?

I did a search, but didn't find much information, but did see in the Pro Shop they are more expensive than standard N.S. Pro shafts. Any info would be greatly appeciated.

Thanks and Aloha

Randy

Hi Randy,

I've played them. They are indeed very light and for those who want the lightest steel shafts. They are pretty smooth as you've probably noticed.

They use the carbon wrap because the only way Nippon can make the shafts lighter is to take weight off by making the walls of the shaft much thinner. However in order to keep the shaft stable and tight, they need to add the lightweight carbon to strengthen the walls.

Some have found the flex a little soft on the 750's but they feel that way because of the above characteristics which almost make them pass for graphite!

They provide a higher trajectory and as I said good feel. Probably a nice paring with the soft 550's.

Thanks for the feedback. Played 9 holes for with them today. For certain people, I think they would be excellent shafts , especially someone that wants graphite weight in a steel shaft, but not for me. To light and a little to soft.

Aloha
