igibliss
Looking for some recommendations on a JDM utillity wood/hybrid 18 or 19 degree. Currently have the Fourteen 770 forged irons 3-pw, miura black wedges with dg wedge flex, and 10 degree honma 400rf driver in a stock honma stiff flex. Any recommendations would be great, and if anyone has one to sell, shoot me a pm or email at: [email protected] Thanks in advance!
idrive
First thing I would consider is your specs. Standard??? 1-2* flat??? 1-2* upright??? For the more flat lie I would consider Fourteen and PRGR. Standard to upright I would consider Tourstage and Royal Collection. Many many excellent JDM clubs. Most important is to have it fit your specs. You might want to consider the Epon Forged 2008 AF-901 Utility Clubs if you like the look of an Iron type utility. They can also be bent flat or upright to meet your personal specs.
igibliss
Thanks I Drive. I would say I prefer standard specifications. You hit it on the button when you say there are many many good JDM clubs. Just confused and can't seem to decide on one. I had the exact same problem when I chose my wedges. In addition, I can't demo these JDM clubs and have to purchase them blindly, based on reviews. For the most part, the reviews of every single club in here have been positive! Which makes it so hard to choose.
gocchin
Another thing to take into consideration is whether you like more wood style utilities like the fourteen, in betweens like the RC or driving iron style like the Epon AF-901. Is there a reason you'd rather carry a utility rather than a 5 wood? Are you carrying a 3 wood right now?
igibliss
I do not carry a 3 wood right now. Only driver. I don't need a 3 wood. Either a 5 wood or utility/hybrid is what I'm looking to add to the bag. I kinda like the look of a hybrid but 5 wood works too. Thanks for the response. xchangmanx
Go w/Epon, or PRGR hit. Epon is all about the feel and quality. I hit my spoon clean 250, best feeling ever. PRGR hit 3 wood for forgiveness, is a second for me because of the ease of use. Both are very expensive, but find a good second hand one and its all G. igibliss
thnx changman... got any of the two for sale? i'm leaning towards the prgr. love the design.
gocchin
The PRGR is a lot easier to hit I find than the Epon which definitely has the best feel. The M3 Hit Tour is more workable than the regular M3 Hit with it's more compact size and square face.
xchangmanx
thnx changman... got any of the two for sale?i'm leaning towards the prgr. love the design. Sorry bliss, currently the epon 3 wood is in my bag, and I've only had the pleasure to hit Genji's M3hit. I'm also always on the hunt for a M3 hit 3 or 5 wood. jacksonlui
read this thread http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/t24897.html the ViQ's are probably easier to find right now, they are both at the top of their game if you don't want to spend money on the latest and greatest.
