This may be a silly question that has been answered before, but as I have started buying and looking at Japanese "only" offerings I noticed something. If all these clubs are intended for the Japanese only, why do the majority use English on their clubs?

English is used everywhere in Japan, sign's, most popular items have mangled English names. They have a particular type of writing called Katakana that spells out English words.

kanji represents blocks of meaning and hiragana expresses the grammatical relationship between them. Katakana is used for foreign names, the names of foreign places and words of foreign origin.

'Japan only' really doesnt mean Japan only but other Asian countries would also be getting the same lines hence English would be a good thing particularly with the major brand.
