TheGolfSpecialist
George Spirits GS-MB irons (NS Pro S-Flex Shafts) These irons have a traditional muscle back look with a long hosel and a compact head. These irons are definitely designed for players who can constantly strike the ball off of the middle of the club face. If this doesn’t sound like you, leave these clubs alone. You could hurt yourself! These irons will reward consistent ball strikers with a very soft feel at impact, but don’t get too cocky with it. I purposely fired a few shots off of the heel and it was not friendly to my hand. Shots hit off of the toe were a bit more forgiving, but still lost a good amount of distance. Playing these irons isn’t exactly like eating potato chips, but for players who can manage it; it will give you feel and workability that is second to none. The thin top line and very minimal offset on these irons made it very easy to aim and shape shots in either directions. I play a natural draw, but I was able to shape shots the other way when I needed to. The club produced a relatively low, boring ball flight every time. I was amazed at the amount of spin I was able to put on the ball from tight lies. I also found that it requires a little bit of muscle and effort to try and play shots out of the rough, the thin club head did not flow through thick grass very easily. (Players looking for forgiveness, this is not the club for you.) As far as looks, this is one of the cleanest looking clubs I have seen in a long time. Its beauty could put your old set of irons to shame. Rating Scale Aesthetics These irons have a nice clean cut look to it. It does not have a flashy chrome finish to it, which I like. The head is very compact and has a very thin top line, which is a preferred look by many enthusiasts, including myself. Rating– 4.5 Feel These irons produce a very soft feel that is second to none, but only when hit on the middle of the club face. Forget about feel on off center hits, it’s like hitting a rock with a metal pipe. When hit properly, it feels like cutting butter. Rating– 4.5 Forgiveness These irons have no mercy and will not forgive anyone for off center hits. I definitely got rewarded for solid contact. Rating– 2.75 Distance These irons produced a low penetrating ball flight that would be very ideal for windy days. I was able to get good distance hitting into a slight breeze. These are very good irons for good players looking to improve their wind game. Rating– 3.5 Accuracy These irons produced a very straight and boring ball flight. I was able to shape shots in both directions with ease. Rating - 4 Overall Rating -3.
bogeydog
I don't fully agree with your review, but I respect it. I doubt that anyone is buying these as a forgiving club. I play to a 7 and get along with these very well. Agreed that misses are not very rewarding. I see you are listed as a TSG Sponsored Pro. Can you post a bio so we know who you are? Is this a special new program?

herrsonic
I'd love for you to do a review on the MB-5003 and compare it with the GS. I know that I am real happy with the MB-5003 ... so much so that I bought a second set 6 months after purchasing the first one. I'm even thinking about getting a third set in a different finish at the beginning of next summer.
