Sword Oil

What's up with the Sword Oil? So does it mean that if we use it, the dirt won't stick to the club face? If it only protects against rust, I don't see a point for me to get one since I've never heard of a club face rust (except for putters). Maybe we can get more clarification?

Japanese Chouji Oil (Clove Oil) was used to protect Japanese swords from dirt, sweat, blood and other contaminents that created the formation of rust. Sword Oil as it was called was used to keep the shine and lustre on swords by bonding to the metal and keeping them looking like new. Gold's Factory now brings you Sword Oil for your clubs. After brushing off dirt and moisture thoroughly. Spray the oil directly on the club head and allow it to cover and soak the entire head. Please wipe off extra oil with a dry soft cloth.

It prevents rust, bonding to the finish sorta like a protective coating. It is also not harsh to fragile finishes and helps keep your clubs looking pretty. I use it on expensive putters and expensive wedges.

I just wrote a post about this so look for it tomorrow on MyGolfClubReviews. It's actually a pretty handy tool to have. Other than soap and water there's not much out there as far as keeping you clubs clean and believe it or not rust is a problem at times. Basically Sword Oil soaks into the metal and helps restore the clubs back to their original finish.
