A fellow clubmaker tried to tell me that Miura hosel size is not necessarily .355 taper. I of course said, "no way!" I would like to purchase some MB5003 irons but probably not if they are anything else than taper.

Help, are Miura's taper or not?

There was a discussion here recently that led one to believe that the hosel may need to be drilled out to achieve the .355 taper fit. They are (irons) .355 taper fit shafts... your club maker may have to help achieve that spec.

i've owned the mb5002, baby blades, tournament blades, and cb202..they were all taper tip without a doubt.

Thanks, that is good to hear. To be honest, I did not really want to order a set of irons where I had to have the hosels drilled out to the correct size.
