rdfootball
I have a TM Burner TP with a Diamana 65 whitebord stiff shaft. Is this the proper shaft for my swing characteristics? They are as follows: Swing speed 90-92 mph Driver distance 240 -250 yds Temp: regular Usual ball flight Medium to High Desired ball flight Medium to High Desired weight 60-70 g Bad shot Left What I am looking for in a shaft Distance and control with the same medium to high ball flight. I currently use a Cleveland Launcher Composite with a 9.5 degree loft and regular shaft.
idrive
If you post this up above here in the Diamana shaft fitting section the expert folks will reply... My thoughts are, and it will be interesting to see what they say... Blue board in R or S flex. :)

Blue board in R or S flex. :) Idrive is spot on with the Blue Board recommendation. I would expand on his rec by saying that a 75g Regular would fit your swing stats to a tee or "T". The 75g shaft would tighten the dispersion greatly and the additional weight over the present 65g WB would help minimize the left side. gocchin
My only concern is that he is looking for a medium to high launch, the Blue board will bring his launch down for sure over the stock shaft. While most Diamanas "boards" are touted as control shafts, the Red Board which gets the least fanfare was recently picked from all the Diamana's in a Japanese shaft magazine as the choice Diamana for balance between distance/performance and control. It is also the highest launching of the white boards.
Duffer19
Hi T: I had a chance to hit the Diamana Kai'li 63 R on a Epon 460 last week on course. The launch is slightly higher than the White but I would not consider it a high launch shaft (I am not a high ball hitter.) It does has a nice kick to it but then it felt it needs to 'open' up a bit with more playing time as it was fairly new. I would definitely consider this vs. the new GD EV5/6. Yes the kai'li is a good shaft as well, it improved on the ali'islei being too high and soft. Have you tried the EV yet? It is very control oriented.
