livetoplay
I currently own two sets of JDM irons the Epon's and the X-Blades. The Epon's were a project of mine that started out because I couldn't stand the DSG's in them. I knew I was going to replace them with a different shaft, so I thought why not just pimp them out with custom ferrules and some colored IoMic grips. I had originally had thought to go with the NS 1150 tour that is currently in the X-Blades which is a great feeling shaft. The only thing I don't like about the 1150's is they tend to get a little too high for my taste, prefer a flatter trajectory especially in my short irons. Any way I decided to go with KB Tours 6.5 soft stepped once and I am glad I did. The KB's are great feeling and very accurate, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new shafts. Next it was the ferrule's, I love the new color ferrule's on the Scratch irons so I decided I would get some for the Epon's which was a lot harder than I had planned. Long story short I found two set's of the white with black ring ferrules and bought both sets. It's not hard to figure out why I went with the white IoMic grips with black tops. The white grips are really pretty easy to keep clean if you are wondering. The only problem I had with them is when I would pull a club from my bag they would rub against the black cap and leave a mark which was a pain to clean (had to use Acetone to get the marks off). So I bought some of those plastic tubes to keep them from rubbing together and it has worked like a charm. To finish the set off I filled in the Epon on the hosel and the numbers in white paint. I also re-did the paint on my wedges and added a white IoMic grip to my SC putter. Edited January 4, 2009 by livetoplay

livetoplay
Sweet. Like the pimpin' ferrules. Thanks I think they are cool, I would like to see more companies offer funky colored ferrules like Scratch does. Ari and his gang sure treasure those things like gold. Phillip Alexander
The driver looks like an on off?? Could you provide some information on it. I really love how you have pimped your set out, super snazzi in my view!!
livetoplay
The OnOff driver is an 06 model it's only 405 cc's versus today’s drivers which as you know are 466 cc's. I really like it a lot and it’s a straight cannon. I had to check the USGA's website to make sure it wasn’t over the COR limit because when I hit it, it smoked my new Tour Edge Exotic driver and my buddies Callaway FT 5. I also like the look of the smaller head with the tall face just fits my eye better. Thanks for your comments about my clubs it was a fun project. Take care.
