Maybe you're right! I couldn't tell at first... I looked at it and it defiantly was not the 901 or 701s. Smooth all silver/satin sole and black top/crown. Shallow face looks like a GR... also looked like he was using an axiv shaft, but I couldn't really make it out. I'll gotta take snapshots on my next visit.

Marus wedge spin He had a couple 30 yrd pitchs which landed close to the pin.... showing super spin, guy even short pitches from the rough>> the ball spun hard as it changed angles once it hit the green due to spin.

(Dam its stormy here now, expected 40+ mph gusts up to 60+ over the next couple days. News says almost all preschools and private schools are closed all over the island. Many Red Cross shelters have been put in place for our leeward residents on the island. Some locations are experiencing power outages.) I saw some putts today break alittle due to the wind, It'll be awesome golfing in 50+mph. So if I do return to the tourny, it'll be to see some pros shoot scores like mine. LoL

Back on his bag. I could see his 701s as the looked very appealing.

I only wish these tournys came w/JDM Tour equipment Vans.

The TS701 is flat out a terrific Iron design!! Plus the workmanship and finish is nothing but top notch. The Spec's are very tight and the COG is dead center on each Iron in the set. TourStage really has the "mojo" working this year with their Iron offerings AND their superb 701 Driver/FW. The TS701 Iron coupled with the KBS Tour shaft has moved into the No. 1 position in my playing bag with ease. This Iron is forgiving yet very workable with plenty of "controlability" <--- is that even a word?? But you know what I mean.

Further, the TS901 Blade is, also, a very well designed Iron and again the Spec's are very tight with each head being +/- 1 gram....amazing!!

I hope you get to go back to the Sony today, T, as those "on site" eyeballs are invaluable to those of us who want to know what the top guys are playing. Thanks for sharing.

Forgot to mention Tad Fujikawa.... Saw him at turtle bay last weekend practice round. I think he is using prototype yonex irons.

I must concur that TourStage has outdone themselves this year. The 901's are simply stellar. I owe all of you pics and reviews but I've been so busy with my son's hockey season. Hopefully I'll get some time later this week but those 901's have transformed my game. They're really amazing and I would bet the 701's are every bit as great. Specs are as tight as Goodsie says. Every club from PW to 3 iron feels and swings exactly the same. I've never played with a set so equally matched before.

How is the feel on the BS 701's? I am formerly a Miz player and currently have TM 2008 forged TP in the bag. The 701's keep calling to me.

Anything you can share on these, in terms of offset, blade size, etc is much appreciated! Thanks in advance for any input.

Sorry my man, I haven't had the pleasure of hitting the 701's as I'm bagging the 901's.

However, if the 701's are even only 1/2 the feel of the 901's then they are really something because my 901's are the pinnacle of clubs IMO. Period, there really isn't a better club out there. TourStage really, really outdid themselves with this particular club.

I believe Idrive has the 701's, maybe he or anyone else could chime in. If its the 901's you're interested in I will be writing about those very soon in a separate post.

I have a set of the 901's also. A couple of responses up, Goodsie has his thoughts as they (701's) are firmly in his bag at the moment.
