Epon AF101 and 2007 XDrive comparison

I've recently acquired two drivers for comparison:

Epon AF101 10.5 w/ Rombax 7x07 Regular at 45 inches D1

2007 X-Drive 10.5 w/ Roddio WBA at 45 inches D2

There's no clear winner but based on looks at address and feel, I'm leaning more towards the X-Drive.

The X-Drive has a crisp feel to it while the Epon is a little more spongy.

I'm not really getting any real good ball speeds cause at the moment my swing sucks, but for comparison sake, I'm at least comparing a crappy swing with another crappy swing.

I'm torn between the two and don't really want to keep both. I think i need to wait till my swing comes back and take it to the course so I can better gauge performance and forgiveness.

Has anyone done any comparison between these two?

Jack

I finally had 15 minutes to go smack a few today. I hit 3 balls for each driver and here are the average numbers:

Club = Epon

Carry = 231.0

Roll = 15.0

Total = 246.0

Offline = 8.4

BS = 134.8

LA = 17.5

Descent = -37.6

Spin = 2567

Side Spin = -225

Side Angle = 0.1

SS = 91.5

Score = 88.9

Club = XDrive

Carry = 226.5

Roll = 20.1

Total = 246.5

Offline = -2.1

BS = 137.0

LA = 16.0

Descent = -30.8

Spin = 1569

Side Spin = 68

Side Angle = 0.2

SS = 91.8

Score = 87.9

It looks like the 7x07 regular is a little weak and might need some tipping. The XDrive feels better to me at impact but I do feel that the Epon is a little more forgiving. They both give me good scores. Looks like I might keep both at this rate.

For some reason its also easier for me to achive low spin rates w/xdrive heads. Last years black 445 and this years Xdrives have produced 1300-1600 rpm for me w/stock shafts. I can't achieve that spin rate w/my tour burner tp and Epon heads as easily.
