Posted March 1, 200915 yr I thought these were discontinued, no? These are the original blades and cavity backs.
March 2, 200915 yr The have been discontinued because the Mold Broke and no more can be produced. There are 70 sets left in the world and will be getting a special limited treatement. The final 70 pieces. This is a recent event taken place in the last week or two. Big news is coming out about Golds Factory and Master Sasaya after the new TSG Version 7.0 site is launched. Stay tunned.
March 2, 200915 yr Author Ok so, these ones listed in the pro shop are the last 70 sets going to ever be produced? And now he has those other ones coming out soon right? But he's using the basic head design of some other brand, correct? Major news? Meaning........ hold off and don't buy a set of these original last 70???
March 2, 200915 yr Author Oh ya, and which would you recommend out of the two? Cavity backs or blades? I have a set of Callaway Fusion irons and would be looking to pick up a set of gold's with equal forgiveness and playability. Are the gold's cavity back's about as forgiving as Fusions would you say? Playability similar? Thanks Chris.
March 2, 200915 yr Are these new irons going to be the gold's version of vega irons? Also, does GF sell tour bags?
March 2, 200915 yr Also, does GF sell tour bags? I've been begging for a Gold's Factory Bag of any kind for almost a year now. New or used. Still no luck.
March 2, 200915 yr Author Can anyone tell me if the golf's cavities compare to standard callaway fusion irons? Special treatment?

March 2, 200915 yr Can anyone tell me if the golf's cavities compare to standard callaway fusion irons? Special treatment? I haven't played the Fusion irons, seen them. Overall size seemed comparable. The Gold's cavity backs are very blade like in size and appearance (at address) but much more forgiving. Mine had S200 shafts in them when I got them. I played about 5 rounds with them before sending them off to goodsie to have them reshafted with the KBS Tours. It was love at first swing and they stayed in the bag and would still be there if I wasn't such a ho and can't stop trying different clubs. They are very clean looking and have a fantastic blade like feel. The cavity backs are a much closer match than the blades compared to the Fusions.
