golfbuddy
I am thinking about getting a fitting session that uses a Vector launch monitor. How reliable are they? Do they match what you do on the course? Thanks
jacksonlui
nope it doesn't because people tend to swing differently when hitting into a net and on the range versus the course. however, the launch monitor is a great tool for identifying your potential and how many yards you're leaving on the table. i find people perform better when hitting into a net because there is no target and they swing as hard as they can. just my opinion. however, given the same swing...yes...i've found that they do match pretty close given nominal conditions. Duffer19
If you do not use a launch monitor, what else would you use instead (for fitting or launch info)? I have been using a Vector so I do not know whether other LM would be more or less accurate. My club would set up the Vector in our open grass range so data could be more accurate then hitting into a net. However, our proshop does not provide club building service but only fitting for OEM. I guess one can also use the data and take them, as a platform, to a club builder.
