Can anyone tell me about this driver .... Tourstage P51-5 looks like a smaller headed 701 with maybe something different re. biased weighting? Is it new?

It's not actually a new driver (though it wont be out till later this year). Like the 2007 X-Drives, Tourstage occasionally releases one of its prototype models to the public for retail sale. It's a smaller prototype head that was used on tour. Most likely this is Tourstage's method of countering say, Mizuno's 425cc S1 driver. This is a limited edition so there are very very few numbers available.

This is the same prototype that was used by Miyazato Yusuke on tour (Ai-chan's brother). TS says this is shaped like a smaller 701 but has the CG placement of the GR (ie higher launch) but matched with low spin. Straight angle face.

I figured it was a prototype, did some searches and saw pictures of it in an all black finish just as the original 701s were on the USGA conforming list. I saw another somewhere that listed a 31 ...something or other, persumably another proto......

Will TSG be getting any(51)?
