I'm certainly not the authority here but I'd be will to bet that there is not.

The AFTours are pretty much a new model. It took Epon quite some time to come out with a blade they thought was an improvement to anything else out there.

Being someone who games them, it's going to be a while before, if they do, come up with anything better.

Just my opinion, we'll let the experts chime in. :)

im no expert but from the looks of things it will be several seasons before they even think of replacing the blades. epon does not churn out model after model , the af501s/301s are being replaced by the 302/502 and that is after 3 years.

so exect the aftours to be current for several more years.

Ia a repalcement for the af tours coming any time soon?

Replacement? Are you insane, these things are perfect and were subject to a loooong time of development to ensure so.

I'd be amazed if they're genuinely replaced any time in the next 3 years, minimum. The grooves conform to new rules, so maybe some different finishes, but can't see a replacement on the way......

The 301's were called Technicity j (?) before - so have been around for longer than 3 years.... wasn't the groove rule change a major factor in the new 302 and 502 models?

The 302's look nice - i have 301's and love them.... and do have a Mizuno ProII 1 iron (!) in the cupboard somewhere, which has that old Mizuno T-zoid mass bulge in the middle, a little like the new weight change in that 302... and the 502. A friend still has a set of Mizuno Comp-EZ's which have that kind of weight placement in a cavity - and they (the Comp-EZ's) were one of Mizuno's extremely well regarded cavity back iron sets. So, my guess is the 302 will be an improvement.... which is saying something :tsg_smilie_surprise:

The AF302 and AF502 are supposed to be noticeable improvement over the 301 & 501. It's taken Epon a while to come up with irons that build upon such performing original designs but they have done it.

I am awaiting the public release with anticipation because I know golfers will love the way the new product performs.

Any news about the AF 302 or AF 502?

Which are the principal differences between the new models and the new one?

The 302 produces a higher ball flight over the 301 whilst the 502 feels more solid that the 501. I would add that the prior 301 and 501 models are excellent and if I didn't love the AF-tour as much as I do, I would play the 301's in a heart beat.
