My first thought was that it's the real deal. I don't know for a fact if it is or isn't.

I was checking out the sellers prior sales and he has sold plenty of Betty's that seem to be the real deal.

xxio, I'm curious, why do you think this is a fake??

Again, I'm not disputing anything. If it's fake I would have been taken...

Xxio, are you talking about this?

Mine is quite different from this one but could it be another prototype for Ai-chan? I'm just hoping so. Anyone? :tsg_smilie_fever::tsg_smiley_crazy:

My mistake. It seems it is real. I thought it was fake because the paint job looked a little bad. All my JDM Betts (still have 5, had 8) had perfect paintfill. This looks sloppy and even looked like it was just painted on and not engraved. My apologies.

Thanks and it's OK, xxio! Your post gave me a chance to verify the authenticity of the putter.

BTW, I just got this putter in my mail and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE every bit of it. Something that I've been searching for a long time. :tsg_smiley_heart:

Is it really JDM when it is "milled in the USA"?

I know they make it for the Japanese market.

Yes its still considered JDM, lots of JDM clubs aren't made in Japan, most TM Japan clubs are made outside of Japan but they are still JDM as they are made for the Japanese Domestic Market.

I agree with Gocchin. A better definition of JDM, however, should be "a product that is made "exclusively" for "Asian" market. "Exclusively" because JDM products are not available in other regions. "Asian" because they're available anywhere in Japan. In this sense, they must be called AEM, "Asia Exclusive Models."

Yes you are right. I keep thinking it has to be made in Japan. But so many "Japanese" companies have their manufacturing process outside of Japan.
