Still don't understand the soft cast head thing, different steel or way of casting maybe. Why couldn't they just forge the heads? I'll probably try them though because the head profile is one of the best I've ever seen. gus Posted January 12, 2010 Author Report Share Posted January 12, 2010 (edited) You know I totally agree with both comments about casting vs forged but there are a few nice benefits, one being durability. Since they have managed to create a soft casting which is very forged in feel (I'm quite impressed and surprised actually) the added value is they simply will hold up better than a forging. Less likely to deviate from lie/loft as well. So in this regard it's good, I still highly doubt the true sensitivity of a forging is there, time will tell. If I had to make a true comparision I would say Endo in feel vs Miura; not buttery but crisp yet soft if that makes sense.
