Vineman23
Hi all, I notice that alot of Kamui users have put the 420 in their bags and was wondering if people had thoughts on comparisons between the 2? Also anyone tried the fairways? Can't wait to order some just waiting for the Aussie dollar to recover a few cents again!!!! damn economy and traders!!!! idrive
I just put the 420cc in the bag. Have had the 460 in the bag for the last several months. Only got 9 holes in so still to early to compare the two. My personal preference is the smaller head. It seems that may be the only real difference between the two. Give me another week with it... Should have a 14* FW here and ready to go in a couple of weeks also.
Vineman23
Ho Ho Ho and away you go! Would be good to hear how it works out and what you think of the fairway, would love to be able to ho it up, think I need a new job!!!!!! Will also be interested in the review I'm sure you will post on the tr500's when you get them. Just to rub it in no snow in my part of the world. ever we get to play year round. idrive
I am hitting the 420cc better (I didn't think it was going to be possible) than the 456. I like the smaller head, I don't need the forgiveness. It seems I'm hitting even more consistently. If it's possible it feels even smoother. After 6 rounds the 420cc has made the bag. Vineman23
Thanks for the update, I've gone for the 456 w GD 9003 S shaft, size and shape appears similar to my old 905R titleist which I loved. I spose if the 456 doesn't do it for me I will have to try a 420 as well!~ Thanks for your help. idrive
Just want to make sure that this is not a knock against the 456cc. I love it. (456) It would be in the bag if the 420cc wasn't. Just my personal preference for a little bit smaller head. (420)
frogeye
Hi Idrive, I was wondering if you had experience trying the new R9 Superdeep, Supertri and Burner superfast vs your current Kamui set up. As I am in the market for a new driver I do like the custom options of the Kamui and see the benefits in the R9 technology. Out of curiosity what made you chose the diamana lima shaft? Any experience with the quadra in a Kamui? Sorry for the brain dump. Thanks for your input. F
idrive
I do not have any experience with the TM drivers. Truth is I have no desire to hit one. I can't keep track which is the current model they release them so fast. I just simply am not a fan of TM. The TM Drivers of a few years back that I did hit and play were nothing special IMO. I put the 'ilima shaft in because it is a little bit higher launching shaft and the Kamui 420 is a lower launch than the 456cc. It was a bit of a gamble that seems to have paid off FOR ME. I really like this shaft, very smooth. This combination is working excellent. I would LOVE to (and will) try the quadra (and crazy) shaft. Soon. The 420 is very firmly in the bag. I love everything about this driver Sound Looks Performance Feel Customized setup for me.

I have too have an 'ilima shaft in a tour Adams Classic deep face which is a similar combo(lower launching head with higher launching shaft). Its a great shaft.
