+TourSpecGolfer
I didn't even know a was suit was pending but it appears today Bridgestone Sports Japan won over Acushnet over the 2003 - 2005 model year Pro V1, Pro V1x, DT Solo, NXT, and NXT Tour balls. It was your standard patent infringment case and acushnet has been forced to pay damages. Bridgestone sports said they spent a lot of time, effor, and money on the research and development of the golf balls manufacturing technology and often produce new technologies far ahead of the compitition. I am not sure if this is a Japan only matter so if any insiders have some information please let us know.
