Does anyone remember the name of the early 90's Daiwa irons? I remember them being nickle with a twin cut sole.

Hi-Trac. I still have them. They also made a full graphite iron head.

Along with the Hi-trac they also made a Twin Cut Sole blade club. This came in both Graphite and steel shafts.

I was lucky enough to purchase a full set, of Steel shafts, from 1 - SW for a remarkable £220, from a Daiwa specialist fishing shop in Glasgow. The retailer didn't have a clue about golf and was just happy to shift them for a just above cost price. At the time my local Pro was retailing them for over twice that price, and only for the 3-SW.

I still use them to this day and haven't yet found an alternative club to match them. My fear is when they finally get past their best (though trying to keep them well protected) I will have to pay an extortionate price to get a suitable replacement.

I see adverts on American website which suggest Daiwa are still a brand in the golf game, but I suspect this isn't true.

Anyone got any view on whether Daiwa still make golf gear?
