luthcol
I am looking for suggestions for JDM hybrids. I am building a new bag and have Epon 701 irons and I am getting ready to order the PRGR 17 degree spoon and I need 2 hybrids in 21 and 24 or around there. I play to a 7 handicap but I am not looking for players club. I am looking for easy to hit, high flying clubs. The OnOff hybrids look interesting but any suggestions would be appreciated. idrive
I'd strongly consider the PRGR hybrids and they are on sale in the pro shop. I'll be picking up a 25* If they're half as good as the eggs we have a winner.

Thank you for the response. Are you talking about the Zoom? It looks like they are discontinuing this club and I am hesitant to buy one for that reason. Are they coming out with a new model? gocchin
Royal Collection has always made amazing utilities and the current TRC and SFDIII are both very easy to hit high and far. The Yamaha Inpres X DUT is a bit older but is also very good. The Zoom X is very good as well and theres nothing wrong with buying a discontinued utility if it can perform for you at a better price. (^_^) It sounds like there is not much love for the ONOFF. Are the RC close to the performance of the old Sonartec hybrids? They were great clubs but I no longer have the swing speed to make those perform properly. Are the Yamaha's still available? I have owned most of the US domestic brands and my favorite is Cobra. I was also considering Bobby Jones but I like the performance of my Epon irons so much that I thought I would try a JDM hybrid and fairway wood. Am I going to see as big a difference in hybrids and fairway woods as I did from irons or should I save money and by domestic? Mike
Duffer19
Instead of the usual suspects, you should take a look at the new Mactec (Japanese MacGregor) NV-F hybrid. Mactec is popular in Asia and good value for money and now they are 100% made in Japan.
Spoon
i am very picky with my hybrids and the last ones i owned were the gfields. those were spectacular clubs. since then i have moved on, currently using the adams tour issue PNT2 hybrids. they have very small heads and inspire confidence. most appealing shape i have seen in a hybrid. almost like a mini gfield. i am using a 20* shafted with Ngs machline ut370s. killer combo. both head and shaft are very underrated but excel in every department. the adams pnt2 is one of the best hybrids i have owned. my only piece of usdm gear in the bag. frogeye
I would second the TRC. Still have my Super CV TRC in 14* and 16*. Great feeling, long and forgiving club. F
