  1. It sounds like there is not much love for the ONOFF. Are the RC close to the performance of the old Sonartec hybrids? They were great clubs but I no longer have the swing speed to make those perform properly. Are the Yamaha's still available? I have owned most of the US domestic brands and my favorite is Cobra. I was also considering Bobby Jones but I like the performance of my Epon irons so much that I thought I would try a JDM hybrid and fairway wood. Am I going to see as big a difference in hybrids and fairway woods as I did from irons or should I save money and by domestic? Mike
  2. Thank you for the response. Are you talking about the Zoom? It looks like they are discontinuing this club and I am hesitant to buy one for that reason. Are they coming out with a new model? Mike
  3. I am looking for suggestions for JDM hybrids. I am building a new bag and have Epon 701 irons and I am getting ready to order the PRGR 17 degree spoon and I need 2 hybrids in 21 and 24 or around there. I play to a 7 handicap but I am not looking for players club. I am looking for easy to hit, high flying clubs. The OnOff hybrids look interesting but any suggestions would be appreciated. Mike
  4. WTB Epon 701 irons w/graphite shafts
  5. I have decided to keep the Epon's, so they are no longer for sale. I took them to my clubfitter and had the lofts and lies adjusted and I am starting to bond with them. I was looking for a more forgiving club and I think these are the one's. Please delete the ad. Mike
  6. T, The clubs are very forgiving, maybe too much so. My problem is that I am hitting my irons a least 2 club lengths longer than my Fourteen irons. On Sat I used a 7 iron with a yardage of 186 yards into the green and flew that green. I also hit the clubs too high. I play during the week in the afternoon when the wind starts to pick up so I can see that becoming a problem. As I told you, I am a 6 handicap because I am the worst putter in my club, but my ball striking is very good. These are great clubs for those who need to add some length and height to their shots. I would not recommend them to someone who is a solid ball striker. Mike
  7. Epon 701 irons w/Nippon 850 shafts in stiff flex, P-4 iron. Red Golf Pride decade grips. 9/10 condition. I am selling them because I hit them too high and too far. I play a blade and wanted to try a more forgiving club, but I need a club that I can control distance and trajectory better. I will trade for Fourteen 550 forged irons only. Price is $950.00 shipped. Mike
  8. Looking to buy Fourteen Forged 550 irons. Mike
  9. Has anyone come across hybrid covers that just cover the head? I use a Bennington bag that keeps each iron in its own separate slot and I would like to be able to put a hybrid club in 1 or 2 slots but the long headcovers prevents me from being able to do this. Mike
  10. I ordered my Ping I5s from the Wrx dept with no offset. My eye has never gotten use to looking at a offset club and now the I5's look great. Mike
  11. I have a 95 to 100 mph swing speed and feel most comfortable with a regular shaft stiffness and a shaft length of 44.5". I am looking for a combination that will get me more distance, with a mid trajectory and good roll. Feel is very important. I broke my right hand a few years ago and since then I do have some problems getting my hand through the shot, but only with a driver. My miss is to the right because of this, so something that helps with this would be great. I am a 9 handicap only because of my poor driving. If I am in the fairway, I play more like a 2 handicap. My club championship is coming up quickly so I would like to make a decision ASAP. Any help is appreciated. Mike
  12. I have owned the Gauge Design Handmades and recently acquired the Fourteen 770 forged irons. I have a garage full of clubs that I have purchased through the years and the Fourteen irons is where I will stop. These are the finest irons I have played, both in feel and accuracy. The only negative comment I can make is how the lofts are set. I found myself hitting irons 2 clubs longer than normal. I took them to the club repairmen I use and had the lofts and lie set to my preferance and he commented that they were the softest irons he had ever worked with and he has been a club builder for 35 years. I now have the Fourteen wedges on the way and an considering trying the hybrids. Mike
  13. Looks like I have a buyer. Thank you for the interest. Mike
  14. Gauge Design NC-1 Studio "Hand Made" Irons for sale. Purchased new from Chris. About 10 rounds played with the P-5, 4 & 3 not hit. Tour Concept shafts (stiff) $1,000.00 I will send images to those interested Mike
