HISPL
Hi everyone! I'm traveling interstate to be able to get a session on a Trackman so that I can gain some accurate information about my launch conditions. Is there anything that I need to be aware of in terms of the information that I need from the session so that I can then use it to get fitted? I have a number of driver combos that I can take with me and I will be able to get launch information on. They are popular models so I am hoping that clubfitters that are familure with Trackman can use this information to then suggest a new combo for me. Can anyone offer some advice on this? I'm looking to get the most out of the session that I can :) Cheers! Adam

In my opinion trackman is more about finding very accurate ball flight, swing speed, distance etc.. information. The fitting will still rely on the fitter and also rely heavily on what clubs they have for you to hit. You can have an average fitting specialist with all the best fancy equipment and get still a poor fitting.
gus
To add to the confusion, the fitting might be spot on but the equipment will need to be on spec as well for the effect to really be felt, it's only a part of the process to have properly constructed bag...BB Edited June 29, 2010 by BigBen
HISPL
Thank you for your input guys! I guess what I am hoping to do is gather accurate data about my launch and then be able to get an expert to interpret it and reccomend a combination based off of it. Is this a fair expectation? There are a number of fitters that claim to be experienced in "fitting over the internet" once they are provided with launch data that is accurate. From some of the feedback that I see from people who have used their services I would expect this to be correct... Or am I mistaken? What would be the consensus on this type of process? I know it will never be as good as being live in person with an excellent fitter but is it an acceptable approach? Cheers! Of course it is always better to fit in person. I'm sure many internet fitters get great results, but also beware of feedback from Fanboys that say anything to support their friend. Be sure the feedback you're getting is trustworthy. Your trackman results could get you fitted to a good set of clubs and shafts. But don't forget the length, lie, grip, etc which usually needs to be done by fitting in person.
