smigin
I'm wondering if anyone could help me with details on the numbers for Sonartec clubs? I know there are a range of SS 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 02, 03, 07 etc and NP-99 (Nick Price) and even GS Tour ones! But what do the number mean? I'm looking to replace my 13* Sonartec SS - 2.5 on a Fujikura 26.3 and love the feel and launch of Sonartec - I hit high, they fly lowish I bought the 13* to get me off the Tee as I was having real problems finding a suitable driver, now I managed to get hold of a RC fd Star #1 (11.5*) which works for me – its on a Diamana 53 R shaft. The 13* makes it difficult to get off the deck (though not impossible) and I was wondering if a 14* or even a 15* would be better for me and hence the quandary as I'm unsure which model means what? Any help would be gratefully recieved - thanks
scraper
The numbers refer to the depth of the face, I believe. Higher number = deeper face. Perhaps a shallower face would help your launch issue.

I have a SS07 that is only different from a 3.5 in that it has a longer hosel to enable it to be bent in order to change the lie angle. It's the longest surviving club I've ever had and I've hit more good shots with it than with any other club. It;s a bit long on the tooth and am thinking about trying something more current like the RC BBD 304P....anyone tried one?
