Posted July 25, 201014 yr Hi guys, the title says it all. Can anyone post a review on that driver? I know it is suppose to be for the better player. But can it be played by a "hack" with the right shaft? How forgiving is the head? Thanks
July 25, 201014 yr I'm interested as well, definitely on the verge of ordering a Yamaha driver just not sure which one yet, the V201 looks sweet but the D201 typeS has potential as well with the right shaft....BB

I know Tousrspec Cris likens Yamaha to be the Titleist of Japan, but that's all I've got...... any real world experiences out there?
July 27, 201014 yr Author Might have one up for sale by the end of next week. Pulled the trigger on a v201 9° with a Diamana Ilima 70 Stiff shaft. It's probably too much club for me to handle but I will give it a try. If it doesn't work out, I will put it up for sale.
July 27, 201014 yr Year in year out some of the highest rated and best selling drivers in Japan are always Yamaha. Endo forged, great feel and design. Wonderful performance. I've tested them every year and loved them and I gotta wonder why I have not bagged one yet!
July 27, 201014 yr Het T which model is lower launching, the V201 or the V201 tour model? Thx, D Interestingly the V201 launches lower due to the higher (but deeper) CG. The V201 Tour has been sold out for quite some time already. The key differences between the V and D series is not just the CG placement and shape of the head/face angles/bias but the actual face thickness. The V series is rather thick especially at the center. While the D series is much thinner faced. Because of this the V series best suits the fast swinger, hard hitter.
