Posted September 2, 201014 yr Hi, The attached image shows a label at the top of the shaft of Taylormade r7XR driver which was offered to me, supposedly it was a club from Japan, but as the label says Taylormade CH is it in fact a Chinese copy? Your answers would be appreciated.
September 4, 201014 yr don't recognize that label, clearer pics of the entire club would definitely help. Thanks.
September 4, 201014 yr It probably mean for the China market as my JDM version of V Steel that I bought in Hong Kong has the same reflective label on the shaft with 'HK' instead of 'CH.'
September 4, 201014 yr If you purchased it from TSG it is for the Japanese market. I don't know who you purchased it from but I can assure you that we (TSG) only offers products that were produced to be sold in Japan.
September 5, 201014 yr Author Thanks for the replies. I have now confirmed that it was made in CHINA I looked inside the headcover and found a label saying made in China.
September 5, 201014 yr Thanks for the replies. I have now confirmed that it was made in CHINA I looked inside the headcover and found a label saying made in China. 99% of all golf club headcovers, regardless of JDM or USDM, are made in China which is no indication that the actual club was made there.
September 5, 201014 yr 99% of all golf club headcovers, regardless of JDM or USDM, are made in China which is no indication that the actual club was made there. Thank's duffer, Exactly. Head covers having a tag that say made in china only means the head cover was made in china. The shaft could have a sticker that says made in japan but that doesn't mean the head was made their also. Best way is to ask the OEM, In many cases they don't want to answer you about those types of questions so then come here and ask us. I'm pretty sure that head was made in China, I thought your question was what market it was produced to be sold in.
