supo
cpl of these popping up about the place , and im thinkng of getting one but im wondeing about right- sidedness bias of it........., the 50t driver shaft i have is stunning feeling . but when miiss it right, i i miss it big time right ! too much for me to play in a driver head , i swapped this for a quadre fire express 75 xs last wekeeknd with awsome reuslts (but the crazy feels better, just wrong specs for my swing ) . im just concerned about that take the left side outta play mumble. is the fw the same?? gocchin
The FW80 plays a touch softer than the Black 50 but still very stable. The 50 is the most stable shaft but if it's too stiff it will go right. The 80 series is more for performance. I had two FW80's in my clubs. Loved them and actually they helped me from going left. Spoon
i had the f80s in the old spoon 13 and man were they stiff. ball launched like 10 feet only. i think the 13 head coupled with the very very stout shaft was not a good experience for me i think if you choose the right flex you will be very pleased. I have a feeling it was installed incorrectly as the FW80 is on the softer side for Crazy, either that or you went for flex way too stiff. It is also a higher launcher the FW80. It should NOT be tipped for 13 or even 15* lofts.
FatMan
Love this shaft! It's everything T has mentioned it is. I currently have it in a 7W and it instantly has become my favorite club in the bag.

skippercarey
you will love the Epon HT. it is a significant improvement over the 201. how did you cave in the face? let us know how the crazy combo works out! Must have been faulty it was quite noticable to, i reshafted that POS 3 times to try and get it to work cost me a lot of $ in exotic shafts, then when my clubmaker was pulling the 3rd shaft as i was going to get rid of it he pointed out to me that it had caved in. No wonder i had so much trouble with it. The Epon dealer here in Australia organized to replace it with the 202HT for a extra $100 so im hoping it works out better than the 201 If i like the Crazy Fw then the plan is to try a LY 01 or CB 50 in the driver

Can you tell me how the quadra launches? Also which part of Aus are you in? Vineman

Vineman No i would never get rid of the quadra i have found it to be the longest and most accurate shafts i have ever played. it will alaways be the go to club in important tournaments or when i play at the links at kennedy bay, launch is low piercing ball flight but still good carry and a good bit of run im thinking of ordering the 102 or 151 with a Crazy Longest Yard when i can get some cash together :) but we will see how the crazy performs in the HT i may still go with the Quadra again, and i cant discount the P9003x such a great shaft for around $300US its hard to go past Im in Perth
supo
Quadra. Every time for links! Ive actually got a links specific driver the yonex nextage 10' quadra fire 65xsthat gets played at nsw long reef and when i finly get to go to barnbugle dunes In dec when i go home for chrissy for a cpl of weeks. im itching to get down there my bud say its superb.one of the best there is . I find the yonex very easy to punch low its not the longest driver which shows how strong ishikawa must be bec he murders his. I finD i get ton of run and a super low launch ,the 9'. Was silly it almost ran along the ground the 10' tho is excellent. Jst not o erly long. But u cant change a quadra into big wind theres nothing in same ball park

But u cant change a quadra into big wind theres nothing in same ball park yeah i have to get to barnbugle one day, if you like playing in the wind go to mornington peninsula , i had a game at the national the balls were blowing off the practice green it was insane. I have to agree the Fire Express is a must in the wind not only coz of the low ball flight but also it produces the straightest ball iv ever seen, no draw no fade just straight!! the only negative i would have is i find it hard to draw which is my stock shot so on those right to left doglegs i have to go to the 3 wood but its only a minor problem and i can still hit it just got to set up for it where as usualy its a natural shot for me
gocchin
The Quadra Fire Express is my choice shaft in the driver these days, especially for its low launch and spin. For the FW's though it's still the very stable and accurate FW80.
