supo
I finally got my Epon 302s back from abroad. i hadnt played them well the times id gamed them previously , i just thought they didnt suit me , so when they came back i was determined to make sure they didn t suit before i sold them, so i took them to the range last cpl of sessions last week and hit a buzzillion balls , the mistake i was making was i kept heeling the club and turning the ball over massively, big snap hooks. didnt do this with other clubs so kept these under wraps for months ,i put it down to the big soles. i gamed them yesterday with superb results ! before the match we had a big old session with the irons off grass not mats and with proper match balls , not range rocks. superb range facilities at Narita i was hitting the ball as flush as i ever have . worked out my swing flaw and started middling them. game time it didnt change, shot 39-36 nine pars on the back nine ...,GIR, 8-9 only miss hit was on 18 , when i chonked a 5 iron 30 feet.but made the 15 footer for par. every shot to the green on the back nine was iron based so i got to see every iron in all its glory hit 8-9 fairways as well so palyed the irons at the best condition from lush fairway ( i missed every single bloody birdie shot, i think some thing need improving here!!!) gamed 5-pw my mind is completely changed now , these are absolutley superb. heavy, solid ,and workable. It was windy yesterday as well and the extra weight on them kept them low and piercing.no ballooning can move both ways if needed and distance was longer then my blades. im HOOKED on these now. not sure what category these actually fall into kinda blade, kinda cavity ,workable , soft as tissue paper and an absolute joy to hit. gotta go hard at them as well they dont seem to like to be toyed with they are staying in the bag for a wee while , god bless em! they are most definatly NOT for sale.. Glad to see you like em, i have ordered a 302 3 iron to go with my AF tours had enough of the Hybrid the gap between the 4 iron and hybrid is really giving me trouble plus i think the 3 iron will be much more accurate
Spoon
i never understood why you never liked the 302s in the beginning, frankly i like the sole on plush fairways. glad its workin out for you. dad has a set of 502/302 combos that will most likely be passed down to me once he gets the 702s. hopefully they will be released soon.
