PRGR Egg Spoon 17* vs. Egg FW 18* ?

Featured Replies

Is there really any difference between the 17* Egg Spoon and the 18* Egg Fairway Wood aside from 1* of loft and $40?

And will the Egg Spoon ever go back to it's $520 price like earlier in 2010 or will it drop anytime soon? I'm wanting both the 15* and 17* (or the 18* FW). Was hoping to pair these with a 22* or 23* hybrid.

Lastly, is PRGR going to introduce any new irons for 2011?

I think that the Spoon has a different material for a hotter face. Shaft is 1" longer.

Unless the U.S. Dollar makes a miraculous recovery & the Japanese Yen weakens in the near future... I would doubt it.

I was thinking about that combo also but, not sure if the loft separation would be good for the yardage gaps. Has anyone gone this route?

The ID line came out recently but, it would be interesting to see what gets released during the upcoming Japan Golf Fair.

Yes, you are paying for the material in the Egg. I would buy the Spoon, FW, and UTs to reduce the distance gaps.
