supo
OK fellas , thinking caps on. i have set of 1957 miuras curently shafted with the PX 6.0 flighted satin. i love the feel of these, seriously they feel so terrific. HOWEVER all my other clubs have a lot more taught, rigid shafts on them and the performance is definatly better, nothing feels better than the miura set up bec the shafts are so soft but as soon as the puff starts then i notice a huge differnce in non-performance of these compared to my kyoeis and epons.. the epon and kyoei both have the NS sper peening blue in them. i was told NOT to put these i n the miura heads bec of the difficulty of launching them i was thinking of putting some NS SP orange like in my yururi flat backs i dont like KBS and DG CHAPS A PENNY FOR UR THOUGHTS MY IDEA is this , NS sp orange in the 3-4-5-6 NS SP blue 7-8-9 pw im just stewing on this as we speak. but seriously the feel of the PX is so good, but i cant score with them they arent precise enough. suggestions ? oh the pain, the pain.........., Edited January 17, 2011 by supo67

Spoon
there were no px flighted in the satins. only an HL version. MR S, i have a feeling your going to do it anyway to scratch that itch so i will go with you and suggest a change. i however do not suggest you get the SP Orange on the longer irons just go blue all the way. you can maybe soft step them once. whoever told you the blues would be difficult to launch on the miuras may be correct or he could be wrong. he aint the one gaming them you are! so go for it. i know you will like it. have i ever been wrong with the SP's? I had to get rid of the PX i was told by my coach to move up to X Flex so its hard to coment i will say that when i had my new set put together that the club fitter tested the PX to be softer than the stiff flex they were suposed to be so maybe check the flex against your set of SP Blues coz that could certainly make them hard to control. But i agree with Spoon go the SP Blues you know their the best, i dont think youl have any problems and as he said you could always soft step

C any news on these? thats the money! i am holding my breath for that one. after 2-3 years of research and development with all sort of nspro protos(red silk screen markings) nspro has apparently learned something and is releasing them to the general public on march. i had the proto ora and sf15 loved them but they were on the heavier side. the 116 version would be ideal for me. supo
patience young jedi last night i took a 7 and a 9 iron out to the range and hit super peening blue, orange, ns 950 gh kbs tour stiff ns pro 1050 x dg s 200 project x 6.0 perfect conditions no wind very chilly. but perfect for ball striking. hit em all very well. the super peening blue .........,were the straightest and most direct iron. lower flight and could go dead straight at the flag with the least movement and distance was spot on. leaky shots did not bend they missed straight. no point trying to move these about, just aim at a target and they will go there. the ns 950..........., felt the best, light and super easy to hit , high flight , my swing speed was faster and moveability was super easy, distance seemed spot on leaky shots bend like beckham tho .love these just too light. kbs tour .......,. distancehmmm, , a cpl over shot a long way with the 7 iron in the sakamotos . the aftours seemed perfect tho. movebility better than the SP, not a lot but just enough, heavy shaft very direct, leaky shots were pretty tight. in the af tours they were pretty high shots i n the sakamotos they were very low and tight. not great feel tho. no real response form these. but very reuslts good . rethinking these. in the aftours these are really good, not so great in the sakamotos tho. ns pro 1050x...,lighter than the kbs and SP x flex is superb. good shots felt money, missed shots moved a lbit pro b bec they are light , distance loss in a cut shot was accpetable , thi9nking the 1150. would be a better weight , feel wise tho.. MONEY project x flighted satin 6.0...., feel is fantastic. got a real snap in the tip . distance control wasnt as good as the others some were short by a way cuts were off b a big margin tho. biggest loss of distance. turn the hands over too much and the ball soars off left. , were the least direct and dispersion was definatly the largest. but the feel oh the feel! super peening orange......,( 4 iron ) love this, first proper work out with it. a higher flight than the blue for certain. stil lheavy but punched thru the shots with great accuracy and feel. cud draw and fade a small amount with precision and confidence. terrific shaft in a long iron. misses were tight distance control seeemd perfect. really liked this shaft a lot. cant wiat to ship up my yururis flatbacks with these in them. they are back baby! dgs 200. ........, no feel ,straigh low precise but i dunno, i hate them the msses felt like somene had shot me up the arm andth ball wnt preopsterously low scuttling runner. the good shots u go, hmm yea what ever. over al i loved the SP blue and that orange thing. the NS 1050 i discovered were too light for me. the 950s are the best of the best for slower swingers or sure they really are great shaft! the dgs i can live without the kbs im changing my mind ,even tho they ahav no real feel they performed very well. if anything they are long. the PX i dunno maybe a tighter flex like a 7 and not in flighted might work better ,the feel really is good, but the dispersion, wont do. Spoon
Spoon do you know how these new Modus shafts compare to the SP Blues? it really depends what nspro have learned from their testing/feedback of their prototype shafts. here is a list of the protos and their different weights and models: 2F15 - 124g-125g, Counter Balanced, similar to 1150GH Tour, higher spin and higher launch of the 4 models. 2S14 - 136g-138g, like super peening blues, super heavy, full flex stiffer than X100 in tip, 2 times stiffer in butt section. ORA - 127g-128g, Similar to Super Peening Orance, most popular among tour players, Softer than 2S14's, high launch flat trajectory. C10 - Same weight as DG x100's, 1x more stiff in both tip and butt sections, I think these are the rarest of the tour models. I have gamed 3 of the protos and i used the ORA on my irons and 2F15 on my wedges. so i have a feeling the heaviest version of the modus will be quite similar to the SP blue the mid and lighter versions could be a combo of all. the minute these become available i will be testing the lightest offering of the modus3
