Need advice on building a new driver

I am thinking about makeing a driver for myself. need some help here on the combo.

Here is my situation:

I used to use Honma drivers. The 7, such as 710, 703 etc, 9 degree, s flex. I like the light weight of the shaft, and those drivers are really good. Now I am playing Epon EMS, 9.5 loft, with Graphite Design DI-6, SR flex 46". I was told that EMS is deep bore, thus the flex should be OK. It is a good driver, I like the feeling, the shape, and the bit long shaft does not bother me. WIth this GD, I could create a lower trajectory than those honmas, although the loft is 0.5 more.

However, I am not happy enough though. Well, i guess no one is. I think I created too much spin on this driver. The fact is that when i go out play, my carry is a lot more than my buddies, however, the rolling distance is very short. I have a higher ball flight, and when against wind, I do got worse result. Thus I am seeking for a combo that will help me out. I do not mind using 46, and I have very good ball contact. The problem might be I have a bit deep attacking angle. My swing speed is roughly 48-50 m/s, say 108 mph. 260-280, can do 310 occationally.

Any good suggestion?

460 cc ish heads i presume ud like?

how about a cpl of these..,

epon 102 for a start , fuller body more roll MUCH better in wind , a solid very confidence inspiring head at address

carry wil be reduced , ballooning ceased, goes very straght. roll pronounced. over all ball shape superb.

yamaha 2010 v201 10*

same feel as the epon more square look . big elongated face. vey awe inspiring at address. distance superb. playability sensational.

mix of carry and roll.

washi............. the eagle!

very hot face. speak to Tabout this really good feel very easy to hit and distance wasterrific.

obv. the ryoma. humongous distance perfect balance of carry and roll

or my latest favourite driver...., the j beam cannon.

any of them.

dead straight, really low huge roll. wind wouldnt matter.

If you like tinkering, the Kamui is as customizable as it gets without having to buy the company first. Exact loft to the 0.1°, face angles and, most importantly, lie angle are all made to order. It gives you lots of carry but pretty good runs too; better than the Honmas that I also used to play and just about any other driver I have had. If you generally have no trouble making solid contact with your drive, then getting a good shaft matched to your swing type makes a Kamui the best driver that reasonable money can buy today, in my opinion.

However, the Ryoma driver is all the rage now; it's apparently longer straighter easier -- don't think I've heard a bad thing about it yet. You can read all about it in several threads at the JDM forum.

Enjoy the hunt! ;)
