gocchin
I received words that fake Crazy Black 80 shafts have appeared. Crazy notified me that a customer had bought a shaft from an auction AS NEW and suspected its quality and sent it to Crazy and it is indeed fake. I guess it was only a matter of time before someone tried to take advantage of Crazy's demand and higher prices. Below are images of the real and fake model... a pretty good fake graphics wise but not quality wise. Please be careful as always of counterfeits and when it doubt always ask for advice. The Crazy Black 80 is also an older model and now discontinued at Crazy.

Duffer19
I have seen and actually tried a fake Crazy about year and half ago. My friend bought a new R7 with the Crazy 80 for $200 at Shenzhen, China. He knew the R7 head is fake but have never heard of Crazy shafts as he is not a club ho or any knowledge of current JDM stuff. I was totally surprised to see the Crazy/R7 combo at that price and knew immediately the shaft was a fake too. I was equally surprised that they would bother to make fake Crazy at all since it was such a cult product or a very narrow market segment at the time. This was all before I ordered my own Crazy Longest Yard from TSG last year.

C, he knew he was buying a fake R7 but have never heard of Crazy so he wasn't looking for one in particular. The driver he got just happen to be shafted with a Crazy 80. FrankThong
I don't think I've seen any Crazy shafts on eBay for sufficiently lesser than TSG that was worth going for, considering the advice and service that T and company provide. As for proshopjapan, I've bought stuff from Kazu-san before (including possibly the last Miura staff bag in open market) and I must say he appeared to be a most respectable guy. Doubt he would sell anything fake. Speaking of which, I know a guy who plays a fake Taylormade, might be an R7, and quite proud that he actually hits it better than a couple of other friends who own and play the real McCoy. Kinda put a warped perspective to things eh.

He thought it real until one of the iron heads, I forget which, broke in two. It was the head that broke into two peices. He no longer patronizes the shop that sold it to him but I doubt the shop is overly concerned as they closed less than a year after. He left his Driver here with me but look as I might, I can't see where it can be identified as fake. I'll probably give it a try one of these days.
