RIduffer
So the saga continues... Received the irons over the weekend and managed to get 14 holes in on them... Thankfully the course I play is short so using nothing longer than a 5 iron is feasible... Also, as I play early I have the course largely to myself and was able to play a few balls on each hole. Then I played 18 this morning but brought the woods so minimized the amount of irons shots. Aesthetically, they are a very nice looking club, although a raw finish would put them over the top... Size wise, I think they are a little bit longer heel to toe than the Miura baby blades but a shorter top to bottom. Also they are a tad less arched along the topline from heel to toe. With the limited amount of play on the clubs, I am very happy with the feel of the clubhead and am able to strike them fairly clean. I think the lie angle and shaft change will turn them into a tremendous club. I must admit to liking the "bulge" behind the sweet spot, I think the incremental weight directly behind increases the distance some as well as creates a stronger flight path to the Miuras. In regards to the "included" NS 950 WF shaft, the lighter weight is fun but is taking some getting used to. The ball flight with the shaft is significantly higher than I am used to and prefer, need to change. Want to try a lightweight alternative with a higher kick point. Possibly the Aerotech Steelfiber or a graphite shaft. The Diamana Thump or Crazy seem intriguing. Waiting on the OnOff utility clubs to arrive to complete the bag. Thanks for all the feedback..
