Hi everyone,I m new to jdm gears.would like to know how these two brand's driver compare.heard that yamaha are forged by endo which is the same as epon.what's your thought,lOoking to get a jdm driver. Thx for the inputs

well.....,

after hittitng man y and varied of both id say the EPON are a softer feeling club that the yamahs, but yamaha are longer they release a new range ever yyr , just a slight upgrade form previous yr, the feeling has gone from slightly pingy to a lot more full sounding and solid.

the new tour model is the best they have done , but ithink th 08 is the easiest to hit .

this is in the V series stunning clubs

the epon 101 and 102 are wondeful as well.' the 101 being slightly more workabke nad i found slightly higher in lunch

the 102 lower straighter and more roll

theres so much data on here about these 2 culbs.

what ever you choose out of these u will be guaranteed driving pleasure and length

theres none better than the other IMO

they re all absolutely sensational

maybe other guys can chime in on the D series yamahas and the 151s et all.............,

Haven't hit any Epon Drivers but I do own a Yamaha V201 10° Driver (2010 Model). Therefore, I am a little biased. I cannot emphasize enough how good this thing is. Combined with the proper shaft for you it will be a weapon. The V-Series is the players' model. It's certainly not the most forgiving driver out there but it is forgiving enough for me. And I am nowhere near the player type category. Sound is very muted which I like. Feel is very soft which I love. Looks at address is perfect. It is 460 cc but it hides it very well. It's rather compact. I had the same head in 9° and it was really low launching. I had trouble getting it up in the air. But my SS is around 98 mph. The 10° head on the other hand is much easier to handle for me. Had the longest drives of my life with this beauty.

I guess you would have to specify a little what you are looking for in a driver. But I guess you can't really go wrong with either brand.

I actually tried my friend's epon 102 with kaili 60s,kind of too light and long,46".so can't really tell if I like it or not.I actually hit the best with R7425TP 9.5 with diamana blueboard 83 stiff, now using superdeep with Accra se80 stiff shafts.was trying to go with lighter shaft (60-70g)but no luck, can't feel anything, took a year to realize that I need heavier shafts.....feels like the TM,Nike ......etc brands driver feels dead after a year or so.....Hopefully these jdm drivers live up to their price tag.

Order the Epon to your desired weight/specs and you wont look back, will s**t on the TM and Nike drivers!!

i was going to say either the epon 102 j beam 435 or yamaha v and hit some gooduns, its such a nig

foeheads, and shaft has to be crazy tj of crazy black really wit those ss

or the new sigma 50 in 83 gram

i used that agn on sat and hit some great piercing shots u might neeed smethingthat heavy, in that epon head, oh boy...!

any of those epon/yamaha heads will blow any tm nike combo!

Maybe maintain your shaft weight class with either yamaha or epon head then tinker with jdm shaft later on. I just had my taste of a JDM head and I'm blown away so crazy shaft is next.

I think I might try yamaha 1st since the price of epon driver head is really high, around 720US for head only here in Malaysia. Not cheap at all! Need to check the price for yamaha too....Thx for all the inputs thou.

You can't go wrong.. Check Bst I'm sure Stew had a head and shafted one there (supo67)

Thanks

I'm pretty sure this is the 2009 Model V4.6 rpm.

2009

2009 model.

they altered the base on this significantly from 08 , its was ana gressive alteration, the sound is totally differnt form this model on to the previous models , this one is MUCH better, and the newer ones even better,

i actually think this model is maybe the best they made. its solid for palyers but not a tour version that excludes 95% of the people form palyng it.

the newer ones are bigger in body and slightyl easier to hit ,but this one get the job done so well. id say if ur a b grade or better this is one beauty of aclub.

i made this for a mate of mine 2 months ago nad he clobbers the day lights out of it ans he weighs 66 kilos and get sh tball out there about 270 withtis thing about 20yards more than the yonex nextage form last yr. i cant get this outta his hands to even try the new model.

i shafted it with a tour stage ad 6 s as well, awsome combo. mid flight straight . lots of run

very very good head this great design.

i think bogey dawwwwwwwwwg loves this one as well.

Thanks for the info everyone. Maiden voyage today paired with a Ozik Altus and depending on how that goes the Kai'li this weekend.

Supo, your knowledge base on all this gear is impressive and appreciated. Love your videos.

living in the belly of the JDM beast does this to you.
