Shankopotamus
I know that the cb-1005s are an older production, but does anyone remember how the sole grind differ from the more recent cb-202? It miuragolf site says that the newer sole grind is better for play in north america and "increases playability". What does that mean? +TourSpecGolfer
I know that the cb-1005s are an older production, but does anyone remember how the sole grind differ from the more recent cb-202? It miuragolf site says that the newer sole grind is better for play in north america and "increases playability". What does that mean? It's just more marketing garble to present the 202 as different or better than the dated CB-1005. It doesn't matter where you are in the world it's the firmness or softness of the turf that matters. They are trying to say North America has a specific type of turf. we can compare Vegas to Hawaii or NY to California and will see all sorts of variations in conditions. We can compare Tokyo to Hokkaido and see similar differences. A lot depends on water, soil type, sand, weather etc.. I would say pay more attention to your swing and if you come down step or shallow. I would also suggest a slightly rounded leading edge as it's almost always safer than a sharp one. I have some Miura Giken custom grind iron heads I'm doing comparisons on and will present in the blog. You chose a perfect time to ask this question.
