does anyone have any experience with the new 2011 trc twin rail woods? im interested in the 15* and not the driving spoons.

interested in actual feedback from those who have tried it. from the pro shop pictures they look deep. i dont mind the compact

size but concerned about face thickness, is that the face profile of the D/S?

i like a narrower face which gets the ball airborne fairly quickly, had no luck with the 14* yamaha inpres x v, currently using

the epon ht but may be enticed to switch if the RC is not overly deep. i love the ute so much considering the 15 trc only if.....

guys let me know thanks. Gocchin any inputs?

I dont know about the twin rail but the 14* 304P i have looks fairly similar in face height and they are on the deeper side launch is mid to low, they wont launch as easy as say the egg or 202HT but mines a fairway spliter, the 15* should help it launch easier than mine...........this is the first RC product i have ever had and i am super impressed, i will be trying a few more of their offerings in the future thats for sure!

yep.......,

pretty hard to beat the RC for all kinds of fairways.

must say tho they heads are smaller compact and low launching that most other brands

if ur a good fiarway hitter they are on the top branchs of the fairway wood tree.

maybe ill try one of the rc utes after seeing kawai -san clobber the pants of his i was very interested.

Not hard to hit and very versatile. As I noted in my review a different kind of trajectory, stronger and more penetrating as it is focused on control.

Pretty good, you have the stock UT shaft and its not bad right?

The FW's are the same, you can choose from 55 65 and 75g weights.

Pretty solid for stock shafts as RC's are made to be heavier, as you probably noticed from the UT as well.

  • 2 weeks later...

Gamed the club today, love the shape of the head, feel is superb but like the ute, I don't like the shaft.

I think it feels dead which is disappointing . I am pulling the shaft and installing the ozik fm series which worked

Stellarly on the egg. Hoping I can make the combo work for my Monday game. Club is not overly long but

Is dead accurate. I think I would be able to squeeze more yardage with the ozik shaft. Will post pics soon.

So what's your decision on the depth of the face? Is it deeper than what you're used to?

It's deep. A lot deeper than what I'm used to.

Hopefully the experiment with the shaft works out.

From the tee it is absolutely stellar although I'm limited

By the current shaft. I think a cut down driver shaft would

Suit this and bring life to the club. Too early to tell, need

More rounds to form an opinion of the club

Well I reshafted the club with an ozik f6m2 shaft and the club is playing much much better.

The ozik and the original gd fw75s have same cpm around 270 but the ozik is around 8 grams

Lighter and oh boy has made a world of difference.

Ball flight is dead piercing and a lot lower than my egg and epon. Deeper face is not an issue after

The reshaft. Get lots of roll out, ore accurate, I think this was the deeper faced wood I was looking for.

I'm very very satisfied with the combo. Remember guys the shaft is key!

having played with the new combo for some time,

i am thinking of reshafting it. there is something about

the ozik that i cannot quite get comfy with. it was the same

when i had the epon and the egg, a bit of a crispy glass feeling.

i would say its lively but not GD feel lively. get what i am saying?

i will most likely shaft it with either a quattro md or a tour ad dj.

i know both will be different as the QT MD will be mid launch mid

spin while the DJ will be mid-high launch, mid to high spin. the DJ

could be suited more for 5 woods.

i will be using this for long par 5s and 4s but could also be using this

for tight holes. i already know i will like either of these compared to the

ozik.

any inputs from guys that have gamed both in their 3 woods? only experience

i have had with a GD in a fw were the QT original greens. those were awesome!

thanks in advance!
