Shankopotamus
I was dead set on getting the Miura PP-9003s. But now I am leaning on making an endo purchase. I'm interested in the Epons and the new Onoff offering. Could you guys chime in regarding the feel and forgiveness of these irons? I'm being extremely fickle, even hesitant, in making my decision b/c I can't actually demo any of these clubs before making my actual purchase, and I do not have the financial resources to constantly buy and resell clubs if they don't suit me. Also, what other endo offerings (forgiving) would you recommend? Help me be a man and make a decision already!
Spoon
The epon/onoff hands down. the miura PP looks very outdated. if your going to get a miura it better be one of their blades none of these oversized Cbs. that is not their forte. now for the onoff/epon you really cant go wrong with either. both are customizable to your specs etc. in the end it comes down to personal preference and what suits your eye more. but both will be a step up from the PP in my opinion. good luck
frogeye
I am a Miura fan at heart having owned their CB and blades but still a blade man. It do notice that Miura is going down the road of bigger size CB, but this has not always been the case. This most certainly to appeal to a wider audience. I still have the CB-1005 in a combo set with the MB-5001 blades and the CB-1006. The CB-1005 was the smallest of the two. The forging quality is there you are splitting hair to determine which feels better or is more forgiving. As feel and forgiveness are subjective depending on your swing. You will be satisfied with any. I would agree with Spoon select an iron that pleases your eye. It will give you confidence and pleasure. Good luck keep us posted. bogeydog
There is quite a bit info on the forums about Epon and the new OnOff forged. I cannot comment on Miura because I have never had them. The new OnOff irons are an excellent choice if you are a sub 20 HC and prefer a soft lively feel, small offset, reasonable top line with the most forgiving design. I hit the OnOff next to the AF502 and the Epon had a dead feel. I have a perfect set in BST for a steal and TSG has a set for sale in their demo list for Monday. It is a good idea to look hard at these.
+TourSpecGolfer
I'm doing an in depth on the new Miura's this coming week if you want to wait. Honestly the ONOFF Forged is IMO the one to beat. Great combo of feel and forgiveness. If you want player style and even more forgiveness go with the Labo Spec's. You sacrifice feel yet gain confidence. Shankopotamus
Are the Labo Specs forged also? How much of a sacrifice on feel? In the area of forgiveness, are the Labo Specs similar to the Epon 502s or the 702s? And yes, I shall wait for your review before I make my final decision and purchase.
