wmclarenf1
I'm playing a Tour AD SF shaft now but I find I am getting way too much spin. It's defintiely due to my amateur swing but as I am prepared to live with my swing, I am thinking of the DI as a replacement as that is lower spin to help with this. The DI is also working well enough in my AF 101. Anyone tried the SF and DI in their 3Ws? Feedback appreciated and thanks in advance. I am not sure about the MD series. Thoose whom I know that have played it say it is fairly high spin as well. I think GD positions the MD that way as well. I my off the tee with the FW literally has no run even on dry fairway (we don;t have inksy hard fairways in my neck of the woods). Again, its swing related I admit so I just want to manage that a bit while acknowledging I just don;t have the commitment to change the swing being a very very social golfer now. Spoon
funny you would ask this as i have posted a ton of questions about this in other forums. i have the tour ad md6 in my 3 wood and i find it too light. has a nice mid trajectory and mid spin. being the tinkerer i am changing it to a heavier shaft. i was thinking DI or DJ but after doing my research i decided on the quattrotech green as it is tip kick so i get the higher launch i desire while keeping it mid-high spin. but to those who have played it in their 3ws the quattrotech has less spin than advertised and is much more stable than the DJ which was originally my first choice. gocchin
The very reliable quattrotech has long been a favorite FW shaft because it is simply so stable. Many Japanese pros still use the QT in the FW's. Both the DI and DJ spin less than the MD and frankly they are all good FW choices. It depends on the swing and the desired trajectory and spin. idrive
I've had the GD Quattro's in my 5 and 9 FW's for a while now. So stable and predictable. I like the higher ball flight with the QT"s. I'm able to stop a ball on the green with this shaft. Of course.... I'm trying the DI shafts in my Akira's Goodsie is putting together right now. I know if they don't work well the QT's will and will change them out quickly. Hoping the ball flight is just a little and not a lot lower with the DI's Still about 2 weeks for the review. I've also found the Diamana's make good FW shafts as well. The Kai'li in particular. Edited August 14, 2011 by idrive

Feels almost the same , mid low kick that gets the ball airborne and very low Spin, height and traj lower than the qt lots of roll. Brilliant in the 3w but I suggest Going DJ in the 5 and up as roll is not what you want. These shafts are ushering a new era!
