supo
new driver 45 x d2.5 x 325 g WOWSAH thought id get this set to 315 -318 gram, my new wizz made it to 325 to get it to d2.5 injected some goooo in the head ot get it there WOWSAH. played it in horrible wind rain, think britsih open day 3 10* head. low spin mid launch lots of carry + it rolls out! yammys play a little on the lower side anyways and at 10* i was very happy with results of flight and launch aHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH now ive gone and done it agn ilove the look of bigger faced drivers and the 440 is just that, still not a monster like the crazy 460, or epon 101, its still got a bit of pro look about it but just that bit bigger than the 425 face i think in my minds eye its thperfect size combining sleek pro stlye looks with ease of launch. the drivers were a series of small draws all day that i seem to be able to count on with monotonous regularity witht this crazy shaft it did it in the ryoma, its doing it better in the yamaha felt much better than in the ryoma ,the ryoma s huge bulbous tail seemed to over power the sensation of the noir, but in a yammy it highlights it , or combines perfectly , couldnt be happier with it. theres a new sherrif in my bag nad its name is yamha 440 its a keeper ! supo
another match with it on sunday and repeat performance small lowish/mid flighted low spinning draws, 2 blocks that ended on first cut right, ,but no slicing balloons what so ever. distance wasnt as good as a cpl of my others (ryoma, jbeam) about 10 ish yards beind normal id think but accuracy was great hit 9-13, nad 2 on 1st cut fringe . (cpl i puled right.) got the ball to sit down a bit lower that i expected in great conditions , and even at 10* ,the flight was lower than i expected. and i drew the ball ever so lightly , which makes a huge change for me . (10* in this head is the perfect loft i think ) centre shots achieved some very very good roll. the face is still just a wee bit smaller than i normaly like but its def. bigger and more confidence inspiring than the tour model at 425cc , a nice compromise. sound is not muted not tinngy, its prob the best sounding driver ive hit, clicky thump, and u can feel the endo forged stlye . . soft and compressing yet sturdy. lovely feeling head. slghtyl harder than the EPON range. going to leave this head shaft combo as is . the 440 power length is not as tight ,compact or over all as solid as the 425 tour version, but its def a bit easier to control, and i think just a little shorter than the tour version when dead centered. but its also a much easier club to hit.! im liking this , this combo works perfectly very good driver. cant wait to see what the yammy guys have in store for 2012
