Posted January 16, 201213 yr 7 degrees of loft... Slower swing speeds need not apply... Looks like PRGR has a new Egg driver out for the faster swingers. Although I can only dream about hitting a driver with that low of a loft, I am interested in learning about the technology and design behind it. It also makes me wonder what they have in store in the pipeline.

January 16, 201213 yr Its an interesting idea by PRGR who always does their homework. I'll be blogging about it soon once I get the demo.
January 16, 201213 yr Very very interesting. My present driver is 8.5 degrees. I have always liked using a light weight shaft which I think has always caused me to launch high drives. Now, with a 7 degree loft driver, wondering if that would force the ball to have a lower trajectory even if I retain a light weight shaft. Wow, I am excited! Edited January 16, 201213 yr by Henry
January 16, 201213 yr I have a Ping G15 7.5* , shafted with a Crazy TJ-46 It launches mid for me & feels iike a 8.5 - 9 lofted driver. I guess it depends what shaft you have in it
February 27, 201212 yr The 7* driver is actually quite nice. It's not what you would expect. The launch angle is very similar to my 9.5 driver that I play currently. Check out the review written on the blog about it: http://www.golftoimpress.com/prgr-2012-egg-seven-driver-review/
February 28, 201212 yr To 9.5! WTF? What is going on with launch angles in Japan lately! Any idea what these are going to go for? I read the review - seems interesting. I may try it but not if it's going launch it like a 9.5! How's the feel and tech? Low spin at least...
