Posted January 24, 201213 yr gents this pays at 46.5 inch which is too long for my friend, has anyone cut this shaft? i told him not to, nad to replace it with a lower spin one just want some feedback if anyione has done this or if tis even advisable. cheers stew
January 24, 201213 yr It can be cut but it will impact the clubs overall swing weight as the Premia head is very light. Is he having trouble with the long length?
January 25, 201213 yr Author yup and its really high spinning , i had a hit with it, it backspun a lot really high and dropped. i told him to put a diamana kalil in it , that keeps it low and straight. morte i hit that shaft , the more i like it, isnt quite a crazy elevel, but for the price differntial, i think its the best of the next level down. got these in a lot of my fairtway and utes now great shaft.
January 25, 201213 yr The problem with the stock Ryoma Premia is the light head. It is most likely in the range of 188 to 190g. One must balance the club (with lead tape or other method) carefully if you were to change to a heavier or shorter shaft.
