supo
welcome to the stable GD...., i didnt think id be keeping these, in the company they are in i didnt think id like them but after today i most certianly wont be touching the yamaha tour 9* GD bb6x! this gave me a little lighter feel with super tight dispersion . low low spin, and an almost impossible shot to snap hook. lowish launch without running on the ground and plenty of roll love this set up perfectly as is. stats read 45 x d2 persume prob 318 gram there abouts. certainly gave me some oomph to the shot when i had a go at it, did push a cpl right but thats expected with my cricket swing, i can live with that. the 9* kept the ball down but not worm burning style, and i thought ad the GD being slightyl higher launching balanced out the shot perfectly. as with all X flex shafts u really have to give em a nudge to get the best from them , this NO exception. the good shots were perfect, the bad, well id be scrubbing around third cut rough, not asking for a ladder to get to the ball outta the trees 3 fairway left. i immediatly thought i needed this at longy all summer! damn the 16th woulda been eaten up! i guess this is what ill be playing this summer in hawaii when it gets all blowy on me at the turtleBay . the 10* bb6s was a real surprise. expected nothing what so ever, but got a nice surprise. its def not as tight as the x , it def has more sling to it and def a softer flex, that was very noticeable, i could much more easily snap this and slice it . but mostly i just got a high soaring bomb with it, i liked it! the good shots went further with the S than the x shaft with oodles more carry, and i immedialty thought of switching the shafts aoround , put the x in the 10 nad the S in the 9, but that was just exasserbate the bad shots more i realised. no they are right as they are. yes i could play the BB6 stiff no problems. no problems at all but for sure the X gave me more scope and straighter shots this is a very good shaft for those that are looking at mid laucnh low spin with roll and plenty of feel to it, its a slingy rubbery shot like the quadrfire express in a way. but lower spin i liked it a lot very good sesshy today this will be staying the BB6s will be put in another head as its JUST a bit too soft still the bb6x will not be going anywhere! Mjr. D
Hey can you compare the BB6X to the P9003X. I'm going to choose one or the other. Can't decide though.

Mjr. D
Reaaaaaaaaaaly.... But the P9003X is a legend! For 125mph + swing speeds still the BBX? Just better due to better, newer technology you think? Is it like a AD DI and a P9003X combo?
supo
yea i think the bb goes further the p9903x is a control shaft i found its hard to miss with it. its a ledgend no doubt put it htis way i WONT be swapping mine out i n the yonex head thats for sure the bb is a differnt feel completley
Mjr. D
K for me - Tall, steep, agressive, ugly incorrect swing, misses are high short slices and hard hooks, very fast SS. Which do I choose?
supo
hhahahahhah u ahve hit the p9003x right? try the BB ucan alwasy swap it out.
Mjr. D
That is true. I found the P9003X to be very low spin, mid launch maybe even slightly high launch, super accurate and super long.
Mjr. D
See top of the line low spin shaft shootout I posted in 2010 i think... before the Crazy craze.

Petethepilot
I've now got a GD BB6S tipped an inch. Great great shaft with a low but hanging ball flight. Easy to manoeuvre but very tight dispersion. Lovin' it! pete

If yes, how does this compare in terms of trajectory and spin please. Which you do find feels more one piece? Thanks.
supo
iwas playingthe di 7x in my adams 9015 a4 head and that was good the di is more tingy the bb more elasticy iliked the bb much better
wmclarenf1
Good to hear Supo. THe problem with tip stiffer, high kick shafts is more often than not they feel boardy. Same problem I am facing with the Kusala Black. Hopefully the BB offers some respite. I hear the Fubuki K is a good solution for a non-boardy higher kicking tip stiff shaft as well. Have you hit the Fubuki K in the past in the same weigght as the BB? Which wil you say launches lower and is tip stiffer hence lower spinning? iwas playingthe di 7x in my adams 9015 a4 head and that was good the di is more tingy the bb more elasticy iliked the bb much better \
supo
not the new one, pete he pilot i think has. i hated the original fubuki that was awful the new one i was told is a much better shaft but once bitten....................,
IshikawaFAN
I've hit the Di plenty and currently hitting the k 70x. Di is definitely tighter feel and dispersion. The k series is smooth but it does get a liitle too loose for me. BB sounds like a winner.
wmclarenf1
Anyone hit the Crazy LY02 and this BB? Weight for weight and flex for flex, how do these 2 stack up in terms of launch angle and spin assuming the same head? Thanks. Also, BB is supposed to be lower spinning than the DI but not according to GD at least not for the lighter weight classes : http://www.gdintl.com/technology/fit-guide Edited February 19, 2012 by wmclarenf1
IshikawaFAN
Looks like a Kai li, which is what I am switching on and off with my R11 Sounds perfect!
Petethepilot
BB is the go! Great feel and a tighter dispersion than the K. Saying that I went to a 6 (65g) in the BB verses a 7 (75g) in the Fubuki K etc! pete
IshikawaFAN
Mjr. Diarrhea, I've got a GD BB8x in BST... it's definitely more than enough shaft for you. Comes with an R11s tip... Edited April 22, 2012 by IshikawaFAN
