Anyone know any more info on the New PRGR Egg, the one with the Short Shaft??

Can it really be as long as a Standard Length Drivers??

Really?

Or

Is it a Driver( more like a 2 wood?) the as been made for Control!?

I'm sure that T will put up a review after he gets the demo in.

It can & can't depending on the end user. There are a lot of topics on the possible benefits of shorter than the "current standard" length clubs.

All things created equal (same swing, strike, speed, conditions, etc.), a longer shaft will be longer than a shorter one.

If you aren't consistently hitting the sweet spot with a standard length driver, the new PRGR Egg Impact driver is worth a look at.

I hear you, but I guess we will have to wait and see....

Any idea on when the Demo club will land in T's hands??

He already has it. It's just a matter of the break down and testing them. That sounds like the fun part but when your backed up by a dozen clubs it gets a bit wild.

Longer shafts! well this is something I was never really a big fan of until mid way through 2011. At the TM hitting booth a couple weeks ago a big reason as to why people were getting a noticeable increase in yardage with the Gloire over the RBZ or R11S was the length of the Gloire driver being 46-46.5.

I read all over the place that the difference in head speed is minimal but what we saw from Tatsuro and his very stable and consistent swing is a pretty significant increase in head speed that equalled over 10 yards of distance.

I personally can lean either way and right now and I'm suggesting those who have great (driver) ball striking try going a bit longer and those who miss the center often try going a hair shorter.
