Im on the market for a new driver

My first driver was mizuno mx700 10,5 with exsar shaft regular (was very long i change it Only becouse i dont like a close face at address i change it also becouse during a fitting my lounch was 13 but the spin was more than 4000rpm

My driver now is a titleist 910D2 10,5 aldila RIP60a regular (not long as the mizuno spin 2800rpm but lounch 16 to 17)

What is your handicap: 22 (Im 39 years old 177cm 60kg)

What is your estimated swing speed: 37-40 meter per second (85 to 90 mph)

How far do you hit your driver total distance: 180-200 meter

How much of that is carry and how much run: 170-180 carry

How far do you hit your 7 iron: 120 meter carry

Are you a smooth or aggressive swinger: i fill to be aggressive but people descrive my swing as smooth :)

What is your tempo like, slow, average or fast: slow 1.3 second

What is your bad shot ie slice, push, pull, hook: i dont like slice

How often does your bad shot happen: my driving is 56% ferway 22% right 22% left (using golfshot statistic)

Any other info about your swing ie too much spin, steep downblow, flat plane etc: Too much spin

What club are you currently using: titleist 910d2

What shaft and flex are you currently using: aldila rip60a regular (red eyes)

Please describe your current trajectory with this combo: spin is perfect but Too Hi louch (i believe 10,5 is not the real loft of this driver.... I try some japanese driver 11 real loft and they have a total different lounch

What do you like or dislike about this combo:i like the lock and the neutral face at address i like i can easly change shaft but the fly is Too Hi

Where do you see your game going?improve

What is your budget? 1st option NO limit 2nd option 1500usd

I hope in some help

Thanks

Daniele

It all is personal opinion of course. My experience for the best combination of distance and accuracy, the Ryoma is the best I have experienced and i have tried a bunch. I don't even look at other drivers at this point. You do need to get a correct shaft, my guess is you are in the regular range of shafts. For your handicap, the stock Ryoma shaft which is a Graphite Design should work well.

I would reach out to Gocchin (Tario) he is the man to set you up.

My feeling is that a Kamui would be awesome.......The Ryoma has been touted as king but I find the Kamui longer and more forgiving, however the Ryoma is a bit of a players club and when struck well, it does go for days, the ryoma has proven to be low spin and mid to low launch. Of all the drivers i have had, the Ryoma has been the lowest launch ! The Kamui Ray with a reg flex or senior flex royal decoration would be a bomber for the 85-90mph swinger. If budget is an issue, I would look into the Ping G20 with a reg flex di5

onoff , super easy to hit , higher launch, endo made head

roddio m6s shaft

for ur speed, this is hard to beat. ull get a ton of carry , straight as a die shot with a small draw most of the time.

and itsso redicuslously easy to hit

get tario to speak about it they are killer drivers and hell have to get it made bec onoff have thier own special design

I'm a big believer in getting fitted professionally versus throwing out a bunch of specs on the Internet and hoping something will work, which is why I believe no one has responded with specific driver recommendations. Get on a launch monitor and have an expert look at your swing and decipher the stats to give you the information necessary to make a solid choice. Eliminates all the guesswork

Many fitters will give you credit for the fitting if you buy from them. At your handicap level, you want the most forgiving driver out there.

That is the problem, hard to get fit for a JDM driver here in the US.

Just email him at [email protected]

Judging from what you put down on your first post, just get the new OnOff (Red) driver with R flex shaft would fit you well for a few years.

I got to see the Onoff red and black driver and fairways today. Looked very good to me, I'll have a chance to hit them in a week or two.
