Posted March 10, 201212 yr somewhere in the chasm of my sick and twisted mind i decided to rebuild the crazy ls noir shafted ryoma with a shorter heavier punchier shaft the idea being, the old one being absolutely perfect in every way wasnt what i was after....................... why , i dont know so after extensive talks with my builder here we went for a 205 gram head with a gel injection . to get the centre of gravity down abit and produce a more piercing lower spinning shot. the ehavier head will prob take a bit of over all distance away from it but , the idea was "total control" had a hit with it today certianly can NOT hook this sucker. the shots were noticeably lower, piercing, and dispersion spot on, the slices that i get were well controllable and would prob have been 2nd cut thats good for me! distance loss was noticeable against the yamaha but its was way tighter nad pro rolled a long way this is a good builld ill game this on windy days here and back in oz the extra weight in the head made a very very big differnce to the performance of this driver head i no longer feel like im loosing distance from spin gel works and works very very well...!
March 10, 201212 yr Author softer and more muted prob felt a bit muted aswell' but hiting thsoe balls isnt hte best judge
March 10, 201212 yr Hmmm sound and feel usually goes hand in hand. Not sure how I would react to a gel up head lol. Did the swing weight increase a lot with this setup?
March 11, 201212 yr Just shafted up a 8.5 ryoma head with a 73 ali islei.....pretty low balls overall....im thinking of going to a heavier shaft myself but my only choices are a 83 ali islei or a Attas version 1 8s.......hmmm....should i tinker ????
March 12, 201212 yr Dammit I should not have tinkered.....nicked the paint on the crown removing the ferrule........oh well....time to buy a new one ! : )
