This is a cool pic Master Sasaya shot. You guy's saw the sparkled out black/blue AF-502's he did. Yea I know it's all cosmetic except the 2 weights he put on the sole BUT take a look how he slides that stick behind the back cavity. That spacing ad's a lot of forgiveness but hinders feel. That's why some companies fill it with a gel.

I can't believe from that picture, you can end up with that finish on the Head

Very cool indeed. Can u ask sasaya San about the gel?

Always been curious about the supposed A-alpha gel used.

Was it gooey or silicone like?

Hey C, The 502 has gel correct? I just sent Sasaya an email asking about the color and consistency. I assume it disolved when he stripped the finish off. Without it I bet it feels tinky and hollow.

Yup! I always had this picture in my mind of the cavity

Being filled with super viscous silicone with the consistency

Of rubber sealant

Agree I think it's the gel 'insert' that give 502 the softer than soft feel.

Without it, it could feel kind hollow!

It's called Alpha Gel. Only endo has figured out how to use it.

You can go 5 floors up and drop an egg on an inch thickness Alpha Gel and it will not break. So Sasaya opened it up an and it's a blue thick liquid.

He replaced it with aluminum strips and it felt the same. He hit it empty and it felt very hollow.
