stevopagolf
You want the face height of the UT? I have the 18* and 24*, very similar in height to the Adams Hybrids. Super Hot with the Ti face. I could probably drop the 3W and just bring the 18* hybrid.
TauBetaPi
Stevo, which Adams hybrid? Would you be kind enough to measure the height for me? I, for whatever reason, hit my clubs very high on the face these days.
RIduffer
TBP, could you be coming in too steep on your swing?
stevopagolf
I will try to measure over the weekend, I am playing a Member/Guest this weekend and my clubs are at the course. They are shallowish, about the size of a golf ball, super forgiving. i bought mine from RI Duffer. He now plays the ibrid I think and On Off utes. The 18* is 3 wd long, off the tee I can get it out 250! Can't believe it really. It is Super Hot. If they made a 15* I might get rid of the driver completely... Measurements are 35MM face height depth is 62 Edited June 24, 2013 by stevopagolf
TauBetaPi
Stevo, Thanks. I am not sure if I am coming in too steep. I also don't take divots at all even lob wedge and thus also cannot stop any ball except a rare 1/2 swing shot with Yururi last week which stops at where I hit. +TourSpecGolfer
If this thread is about the Type-R, It's a beast! Forged face on UT's, expensive but its sooo the way to go.
akapur
Just picked up a UT from the BST. Cant wait to put the Crazy Utility shaft in it and give it a try.

wmclarenf1
Anyone played the EGG I+ and playing the Type R now? Would appreciate comparative feedback.
stevopagolf
I played the Egg i utility. The RomaRo is longer, just as easy to hit. Easier for me to hit a driving shot and better off the tee.

Thanks Steve. Off the deck, would you say it is as forgiving or more forgiving that the egg? You play the type r UT or the previous model? Thanks
JGalls
A UT 21 just arrived. Great looking head. Just need to shaft it up. Looking forward to it.
stevopagolf
Thanks Steve. Off the deck, would you say it is as forgiving or more forgiving that the egg? You play the type r UT or the previous model? Thanks I play the Original Romaro Ray UT. I think it is as good off the deck, better of the tee as a driving iron type club and better out of the rough. Very forgiving club with the cup face
JGalls
Have one round in with a 21* UT w/ Oban Devotion. Very impressed.
akapur
I have had now 3 rounds with the 18 Degree UT with UST Proforce 75S shaft. It is a beast!! From the tee it is as long as my 3 wood with a much lower ball flight. Off the grass it is the best Utility I have ever had, long and very forgiving. Being 200+ yards out on a par five is no issue, even with water in play. I have very little fear when using this club. So far I am very happy!! gocchin
Keep in mind too akapur is using the new model Type R if I am not mistaken. It seems to be considerably hotter than the previous model.
stevopagolf
Holy crap. Considerably hotter? I kill the old model. I love the old model. I love the Type R 3 wood, but if the 18* type R is hotter I could probably ditch it. I hit the old model 220-230 all day...hmmm.
