Lucho8
Hello guys, I am new to this forum and my first post. I been following this community for a while and finally decided to sign up. I been playing Miura blades and wedges for the past 3 years and decided I would also like to play a JDM driver. From reading on these forums it seems the quality and feel are much better than domestic and that is exactly what I am looking for. The only problem is that I am LH and the selection is limited. I am calling all JDM experts to help me out or maybe guide me in the right direction on selecting a LH head. I read great things about Ryoma, Kamui, Epon, Jbeam and many others but I can only find the Jbeam 435 in LH. Is that about it for leftys or is there other options? I will appreciate all the help! Thanks!
Blader-X
Yea, I've got a son that's left handed too and its tough finding that in JDM. There is a new XXIO driver out that's available in LH, check it out in the proshop. The other brands I don't believe make a left handed version. Lucho8
Thanks for helping, I saw they have that option and recently they added the Jbeam 435 in lefty. Is that one good? I see a lot of posts discussing the crz 435 I & II but not a lot of the regular one. Any feedback on the Lefty jBEAM 435? Thanks

Crazy 435 is exactly the same as Jbeam FX-BM435 from what I read so from that POV, JBeam is the original. Crazy 435 II apparently is also made by Jbeam but designed by Crazy. I think JBeam also has a 435II under their label as well. Not sure if there is any difference in specs.
Lucho8
Thanks for the info! I am leaning towards that head right now. Can anybody recommend a nice shaft for it? I like high kick shafts with stiff tip, I currently play an Oban Devotion 70gram shaft on my Adams 9015d. What is similar on the Crazy shaft lineup? Swingspeed 111-112 with somewhat agressive move thru the ball. Appreciate all the help. Thanks

Duffer19
No link for Crazy 435 LH but it is available via TSG. http://www.crazy-shaft.com/products/head/wood/index.html The Jbeam 435 LH is here http://www.tourspecgolf.com/product_info.php?products_id=4172 and more at http://www.tourspecgolf.com/index.php?cPath=

I think I was mistaken on which versions were even available in LH at the moment; not so much as to where to buy them. I thought the II models were available in LH, but it appears they are not. What are your thoughts on the Baldo? My mis-hits are usually blocks or slices, and every now and then I'll get under the ball. The JBeam/Crazy 435 appealed to me because of the draw bias as well as the taller clubface (should help prevent getting under the ball). JayDM
The original J Beam 435 is an amazing driver, I don't know if there is another driver that such a wide variety of people hit so well and enjoy so much and have been doing so for quite a long time(excluding maybe the original Ryoma)..... I cant see how you could go wrong buying that head in the left handed version. Shaft wise, best thing to do is work through a fitting with Tario and get all of the particulars figured out, picking the right shaft is going to be the most important thing for you, worth the effort to get it right. Dash Boogie
I am a left hander who basically had the same problem as you. Half of my shots used to be straight, and the other half were banana pull/fades that weren't terrible, but lost a lot of roll and distance because of the shot shape. I got the JBeam 435 / Crazy TJ-46 Noir. These components were meant for each other. I have never felt so comfortable hitting a driver in my life. Don't bother with the other brands, just get the JBeam/Crazy Noir combo. You will NOT be disappointed.
