Spoon
guys looking for a killer 4w. either 16*/17* one. looking for an all arounder, easy to hit off the tee and even easier from the fairway. im done with 3 woods with lofts in the 14/15 region. i wont carry a 5 wood either so the #4 will be my only wood. i had the EGG in 17* that was so good i regret selling it. i have a Yamaha 17* IFF 4w compliments of stew that i will be testing this weekend. looks like it will bring a ceasfire to all the club mongering for the meantime. if you have any suggestions do share. thanks

Duffer19
There you go C. You have one of the best 4W out there. The older i.F.F is better than the new Yamaha D FW. You just go out and get yourself a GD SF6 or SF7 and forget about all those but down QT or whatever driver shafts you have in your bin. You would not regret using this shaft and head combo. idrive
C, The easiest FW off the fairway is the club in my sig. I can't mis hit this thing with my eyes closed. May not be as long as the Egg but the ease of use is amazing. The tighter the fairway the better it works If I tee off with it I don't bother to tee it up, just a nice clean lie. idrive
I'll post some comparison shots tomorrow Playing on a course i know is more lush I usually put the Egg spoon in the bag but for the tight, hard fairways it's the

Blader-X
Carlo, that new line from Royal Collection the TX and TR models really look solid. Kind of that old school BBD look to them and that line was fabulous. However that IFF head you have looks solid as well.

supo
the older iff i discoveed a while ago. iused the non tour version but i found it not quite to what i like. (its too easy to hit) yup read that right. so i found the "tour version" hmmmmmmmm nice and hard to hit. me likey so much ibougth 4 14 + 17 with diamana kaili 80x and 70x in australia and here with roddio prototype tour 70 + 80x these go ok, they are a bit more solid that the newer versions, and very hard to source now. i think the newst model with the wings on the sole are super easy to hit and the 2009 fric off the best allrounders. the iff feel more...... tightly wound(?) than the others. i love em. of course... from YAMAHA
Spoon
There you go again confusing me. So what version is mine again the IFF, Is this the stupid easy version to hit? That's what I like. Tightly wound? Cmon stew don't sugar it lol

Blader-X
Carlo, So update us man, hows the 4 wood working out for you in the bag?
Spoon
Carlo, So update us man, hows the 4 wood working out for you in the bag? Brian, I am gaming it! It's from o7/08 but its vastly superior to anything I have gained! Had the ping k15, ryoma f3 16 loft, egg spoon 17, RC trc, RC Bbd type h etc etc this One beats everything in terms of versatility , ease of use and forgiveness. It may not be the longest but its the easiest to use. I can hit it off the rough and on tight lies. Heavy punchy compact head does the trick of hammering out of most lies. And on my bad shot Where I take divots on my woods I'm still able to get away with it. I love this club and since it's 17deg I no longer have a 5w and have more space jn the bag to play around with. Using a dj7 that's about as friendly and higher launching as you can get. Although eyeing an sf7x To keep the boredom at bay. Never ends! Yea I second the nomination for the SF line from Graphite Design. The most underrated shaft in existence. Was interested in your experiment as I need an excuse to get one of the new RC TX line fairways, but I need another fairway like I need a incurable disease. Oh wait, I've got an incurable disease, its called JDM-mylitis.

Chanaa
For 4w distance, i would go for the RC 20/22deg utility instead. Put those head on a crazy utility shaft - boom !! Great from anywhere & any shot
