idrive
I've been a huge fan of KBS Tours for the last 4-5 years. Really like them. Tried the Modus 3 recently and really like these. The Modus seemed to bring my ball flight down slightly which is good as I have know trouble getting my Irons in the air. Something better out there to put in the new Epon Personal blades? Believe it or not the only reason I just don't use the Modus 3 are the graphics,
supo
hmmmmmm, miogh want to rethink that id say. they are good steel. other one id sugest is the shimada ks tour 120s, mid lfight, might be a very good mix for the epon, i have a 7 iron 302 with it in in stiff, shich is just a little bit soft for my liking butt he flight in the 302 and feel suits really well. hard to top the modus 3.. tho.... wait till u see the graqphics on my NS proto shafts if u think the modus look garish.... idrive
I figure I have about 24 hours to decide. Even graphics down... the modus are noticeable. Always wanted to try the Shimada's
Craig
I would choose the Modus but you wont be disappointed in the Shimadas either
Spoon
Well vie tried em all and ever since finding the modus it would Be tough to game another shaft. Hard to get used to anything else When the modus is already super smooth , tip stiff and butt soft. Luckily I have the nspro protos DP in s already reserved for my personal Blades. I would recommend shimadas but I think the modus are a little better. Shimadas remind me of a smoother feeling dgs200 . FYI I have friends that currently have the PXi shafts in the personals and love Them, I doubt though they have tried the modus.

What length do you think I should game em? Need info as I'm building my set and my pops this Weekend?
chiromikey
and what would you recommend for a low flight, low spin, high feel for these irons?
Spoon
and what would you recommend for a low flight, low spin, high feel for these irons? For what you described there can only be one. Super peening blues!
chiromikey
For what you described there can only be one. Super peening blues! lol, that's what i expected and already asked tario price it out for me...but since this thread came up i thought i'd ask anyways. i was able to hit the spb's in a miura tb over the weekend and i felt it was like a cross between the c-taper and s300...a nice lower ball flight with good feel, but not quite the mushiness of the s300. any other consideraions? supo
SP blue! or ...., modus TX X maybe. im gaming them in a set of 2011 yamaha tours and they are GREAT shafts. i didnt get on with the s flex , they were flighty. but hte stiffer heavier ones, oh man so so good. the SP blue in higher laucnhing,, softer heads... like say epon af tours..'game over! yea spoon 37.5 or at msot 37.75. im 180cm and i use 37.75 in just about evertyhing. ive got longer buti find subconsciously i choke down when i play them so that tell me 37.75 is spot on for me. read the post that tom wishon sent me about length its tremendous. but id say 37.5-3/4 will be perfectly fine. DaleUK
I have the Modus3 and PXI shafts, Modus are S flex soft stepped while the PXI are 5.5 Bothe feel good , the Modus for me wins every time, much more Kick, feel and all round better! I personally think the PXI plays slightly stiffer too!, which doesn't help! On the Graphic side of things, I agree that the Modus is rather on the long side!... Doesn't put me off BUT still is there for all to see and comment on!
Vegaman
For what you described there can only be one. Super peening blues! I agree, the SP blues fit that description perfectly..I have them in my CBs and they are just great, smooth and stable. But when I went to pure blades in my current set I actually went with the NS 1150 tours, they really suit a blade for me, I also wnt with S instead of X and the extra forgviness these slightly softer and lighter shafts bring is perfect in blades. Makes me swing more correct and smoother.

EPONfreak
Stew, As per our discussions orf lyne, SP blue or TT Monaco for AF Tour? I'm trying both plus Modus3. I'm perfectly happy, well nearly, with the current KBS Tour. I could stand to hit with less spin if I was to be critical.
idrive
Well, They are being built with Modus 3 stiff - graphics down iomic sticky's, logo down Thanks for all the responses.
supo
im sure J u will love these. T ario or carlo would be much better to task about spin of shafts than i. im not technical, i just hit. the sp blue will be pretty hard to beat id imagine ,they certianly dont go high thast for sure.. the monacco i really really like. they are a smooth feeling kinda shaft . nothing really stands out about them. they just play beasutifully . i think, they are a bit flighted. but im not 100% sure, certainly hte 3i is easier to hit i nthese than the sp blue.. so thast why i think the longer irons shafts might be a bit flighted. Spoon
I have no experience with the monacos. I do definitely think that the long irons most especially The three should be flighted! U don't want a worm burner for the 3! Well at least I don't.

Thanks Robbie! I think that's the same orange goo that I use to remove the paint fill from my clubs. I need to pick one of the modus3 shafts to try & test it on.
